Mango's neutral knit sweater is my top pick for Christmas jumpers this year

High street fashion retailer Mango never fail to impress with their collection of party wear, winter coats, and accessories. But this year it was a £35.99 Cable Knit Sweater that really caught the eye of stylish shoppers on the hunt for a Christmas jumper that they could wear well into the New Year.

The fairisle knit has been spotted all over TikTok with users saying "it's such a nice chunky material," so it'll keep you warm during cold weather this winter. As a regular shopper at Mango, naturally I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, and when styled, I loved how wearable it was for a seasonal jumper.

Christmas jumpers come in all shapes and sizes, from vibrant picks adorned in sequins and bows, to funky knits with festive slogans. While there's nothing wrong with loud jumpers, they're not the easiest to style, and when worn once to the work Christmas party, you might find yours shoved to the back of the wardrobe until next year comes around. That's not the case for this Mango knit, which features beautiful neutral shades of beige, brown, and cream, in a low-key, but still festive print.

The first thing I noticed when unpacking the Mango jumper, which I bought online here, was just how thick it was. It's made from a soft material, so I would recommend wearing it alone without another layer underneath if you're planning on wearing it indoors, as you might find yourself feeling a little too warm otherwise.

I styled it with jeans, and then a skirt, both of which I thought looked great and could easily be dressed up or down. It's available in sizes XXS-XL, and it has a high crew neck that is universally flattering. I opted for a size medium and would say that it is on the smaller side, so I would size up if you want an oversized look.

Fairisle prints are a trendy pick for this season and I'm also a big fan of River Island's £40 Cream Diamante Fairisle Jumper, as well as this £35 Fairisle Crew Neck Jumper from Marks and Spencer.

For a cheaper alternative, New Look have reduced their Fairisle Knit Cardigan to £26.99, but if you'd prefer a jumper, fashion writer Eve Rowlands tried on the best New Look jumpers to cosy up in this Christmas.
