Jada Pinkett Smith 'will never leave' Will after Oscars slap saved their romance
Jada Pinkett Smith has said that she "will never leave" her husband Will Smith, with her sharing that the incident at the Academy Awards last year made her realise that.
Will, now 55, confronted comedian Chris Rock, now 58, at the awards ceremony in March last year. He stormed onto the stage and slapped Chris, leading to a ban from the event for 10 years and an apology over the incident from Will.
It came following a joke about Jada, now 52, with Chris having suggested that she looked like G.I. Jane. It was in reference to her shaved head, which she's previously said was related to hair loss due to alopecia.

Jada - who's been married to Will, with whom she shares two children, since 1997 - spoke about the incident in an interview with the Daily Mail. She said: "I call it the 'holy slap' now because so many positive things came after it."

Jada went on to suggest that the high-profile incident last year gave her some clarity over her relationship with Will.
She commented: "After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will's side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him." And then teased that it's unclear where their relationship would be now "if that hadn't happened".
It comes after Jada announced earlier this year that her and Will were separated at the time. She shared in an interview in October, ahead of her memoir Worthy being released, that they have been separated since 2016. She said at the time that they were still trying to "figure out" the situation.
During the more recent interview, Jada discussed her plans for the holiday season, teasing that her and Will are set to spend time with their children Jaden Smith, 25, and Willow Smith, 23. Jada told the outlet that her, Will, their children and some friends will "head to a snowy location".
Jada also said in the interview that her and Will have been together for around 30 years, adding that if "someone new" came along then neither of them is "going anywhere". She said that they are a family that "needs to look out" for each other and "always will be," adding: "Sometimes it takes a crisis for you to see that."
