Kate Beckinsale has debuted a stunning new hairdo after swapping her signature brown tresses for a dramatic blonde bob.

The Underworld star stepped out on Thursday evening in Los Angeles at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment 2023 gala, joining A-listers like Adele, Dua Lipa and Helen Mirren for a VIP evening at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. Kate, 50, looked effortlessly cool in a cream midi dress with long sleeves and bow detailing for a quintessential British finish. She teamed the gown with sparkling stilettos, a silver clutch bag and a galaxy manicure, adding a touch of vamp to an otherwise angelic outfit.

It was Kate's cropped blonde hairdo, however, that truly stood out. The Emma star showed up to Roger Vivier's festive dinner on Wednesday with the ashy bob, having ditched her trademark caramel locks for the much lighter shade. For yesterday's event, she went with a bright red power suit, complete with an oversized jacket and pants and a fitted bustier. She completed the ensemble with matching heels and a clutch with a bejewelled buckle, as well as a striking crimson lip and lashings of highlighter. The holiday event was also attended by Zooey Deschanel and Lea Michele.

Kate's fans have been quick to react to her dramatic new look, with many taking to Instagram to share their approval. "Omg! Blond looks so good on you," one said, while another gushed, "This look is everything!!" Kate last wore her hair blonde in 2021 for a movie role, but has remained brunette in her real life since.

Kate may be known for her knockout fashion at showbiz events, but that doesn't mean she always gets it right. The Click star opened up about an embarrassing wardrobe faux pas that happened to her ahead of a premiere once, before revealing the unlikely celebrity who swooped in to save the day. "I had bought the bodysuit in the Sock Shop at the airport and when I got in the car to drive to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington, all the poppers in the crotch popped themselves open and it flipped up like a roller blind," Beckinsale wrote on Instagram during the Cannes Film Festive 2023.
