Newly single Linda Robson shocked her Loose Women co-stars on Thursday when she made a confession about surfing pornographic websites.

The 65-year-old Birds of a Feather icon - who split from her husband Mark Dunford earlier this year - was on the panel alongside journalist Kay Adams, 60, Love Island star Olivia Attwood, 32, and 59-year-old Nadia Sawalha. As part of the topics up for discussion as the week was heading into the final stretch, the Loose Women ladies debated government plans to make porn websites more difficult to access.

There are concerns that explicit content can be found too easily by teenagers and children, and plans are afoot to introduce measures to make those wanting to access porn explicit sites prove they are 18-years-old or over. While the ladies were set to discuss the planned legislation and debate how successful they think the measures will be, Linda made a confession that left the panel gasping.

Kay began the segment saying: "If people want to access adult websites," before turning to Linda and saying: "You know what I mean?" And Linda nodded saying: "I know what you mean! I know! I've been to a few myself. By accident!" Her comment sparked a wave of gasps in the audience - and Nadia confessed she was sweating with nerves about what Linda would say next. Kay then explained new rules could mean those wanting to access adult content could be required to scan their face - and Linda quipped: "It's not faces you go on there for!"

Turning attention to the topic at hand, Kay entered a discussion with Olivia - how has fronted documentaries about the ways people earn money online, and also confronting online trolls. Referencing the explicit content that was available in her day, Kay said: “Back in the day it was relatively tame compared to what we have today.” Olivia admitted: “This stuff is very disturbing.”

Olivia went on to explain why she thinks porn is getting more and more extreme. She said: “The competition for views, because anyone can make it at home, is insane. So how do you draw more people to you? By being more extreme.” She also stressed the importance of speaking to young people to make them understand that the explicit scenes that are concocted in porn are not representative of real and loving sexual encounters.

She said: “Educating our teens and kids about what they might come across to say ‘that’s not what your relationship with your first boyfriend should be like’.” Nadia also entered the conversation, saying she was sickened to discover her children had accidentally accessed porn one day. The mum-of-two; who has a now 20-year-old daughter named Maddy and a 16-year-old named Kiki, began a story saying: “I was downstairs doing the hoovering.”

She claimed she checked on her children and discovered they had entered an “online chat room” that contained extreme and explicit material. Asked by her co-stars what her kids had searched for, Nadia said: “Bunnies.” And as Olivia asked what the result showed, Nadia could only bring herself to say: “Bad stuff. Seriously bad stuff.”
