On her second day on the witness stand, Grace wiped away tears as she recounted the alleged attack by her ex-boyfriend, with her claiming that the incident left her hair covered in blood, her ear swollen, and her middle finger "more or less black".

"When I was trying to sleep, I was very aware that I couldn’t lie on the right side of my head," she said on Wednesday. "It was an everything hurts situation," she added.

Also at the trial, Grace accused Jonathan of being a "controlling, manipulative" partner and claimed she "had to be perfect" during their relationship. The professional dancer then alleged that her ex hurled household objects at the wall and repeatedly threatened to take his own life in the aftermath of their fights. She said he would often refer to himself as a "monster".

Grace's initial complaint prior to the trial stated: "I (Jabbari) further observed the defendant grab my right arm, place it behind my body, and use his hands to twist my right forearm and right middle finger, causing substantial pain to my right forearm and right middle finger.

"I further observed the defendant strike me with his hand across my right ear causing substantial pain and a laceration behind my right ear. I further observed the defendant push me back into the vehicle using both of his hands causing me to fall backwards."

Despite the ongoing complaint and trial, Jonathan has denied two counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, attempted assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. And the actor's lawyers have branded Grace's claims a "complete lie".

After Grace called the police back in March, the actor was arrested. In a statement released by his criminal defense lawyer, the actor claimed he was the victim. "Johnathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows," his lawyer, Priya Chaudhry said at the time.

In response to the actor's arrest, a counter-complaint was filed against Jonathan's ex-girlfriend Grace, In the complaint it was claimed that she was the one who assaulted him in a "savage rage".

The New York Police Department arrested Grace in October and charged her with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief for her role in the altercation. But despite the arrest, the District Attorney refused to prosecute because it lacked "prosecutorial merit".

The trial continues.
