Deal or No Deal's Brad Wale has thanked the show viewers for an outpouring of support after his emotional episode.

When Brad appeared on Deal or No Deal and walked away with just £5, he left viewers and the studio audience heartbroken as he was hoping to use the cash prize to create a bucket list – as he suffers with Motor Neurone Disease.

So on witnessing his devastation, his best friend Rochelle Hughes set up a Go Fund Me page, which has now reached a staggering £48,000 – £20,000 more than the initial target. Speaking about the astonishing level of support and donations he has received from fans, he told Good Morning Britain viewers: "Rochelle set the target. I just thought a few friends and family members would donate but from last Thursday the response I have had is something I could never put into words. I'm going to get upset now. "

He added: "From the bottom of my heart it means the world and I can never be able to say thank you enough. Friday I received a few thousand messages, Saturday, Sunday, it's just been thousands and thousands and thousands of messages. Each individual message and each individual donation means the absolute world to me, you'll never understand how much it's changed my life."

Earlier this month, Brad left viewers emotional as he revealed he was hoping to win some money to create memories as he battled with MND. Motor neurone disease affects the nerves known as motor nerves, or motor neurons, that eventually degenerate and die. This leads to the muscles becoming weaker and weaker, resulting in paralysis.

At the time he confessed that it was a dream to appear on the revived quiz show, where he could potentially walk away with a huge cash prize, to kick start his bucket list. And he also wanted to leave money for his family.

At the beginning Brad appeared to be playing a good game, generating gasps from the audience after opening one blue box after another. And at one point in the game, he still had the box with £100,000 to be found.

But following a series of unlucky moves, Brad ended up with only £5. Speaking of his loss he continued to tell Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls: "I still listen back and watch it back and I can feel the tears coming on. You go on that show with every intention of winning big, I genuinely thought I would, so to get to that moment and see £5 it was heartbreaking. Devastating, I’m still devastated now to be honest."

And Charlotte Hawkins' family, who have also been impacted by MND, sent a message of love and support to Brad as she knows exactly what he's going through. She said: "Good for you, lots of love to you."

In order to ease his pain Rochelle had set him up with a Go Fun Me page and wrote: "Hi! I’m Rochelle, Brad’s friend from Deal or No Deal!

"I’m sure you all saw Brad's devastating game on Deal or No Deal. His DOND family really want him to fulfil his dreams and we have set this up on the hope that anyone could maybe spare a couple of pounds and get Brad to tick some bits off his bucket list. We love you Brad."
