Prince William has revealed he's a big fan of Taylor Swift, or a 'Swiftie', a decade after singing with the US superstar at a charity gig at Kensington Palace in 2013.

The Prince of Wales' revelation was reportedly made during a chat with Ronnie Woods at the Tusk Conservation Awards in London last week after the Rolling Stones star invited him to join him on his upcoming tour. The iconic band are going on the road to perform live across the US and Canada next year, to celebrate the release of their 24th studio album, Hackney Diamonds.

"We were talking about the tour and I said 'Come on, you've got to come out on tour' and we were talking about the new album and everything," Ronnie recalled, according to Hello! "William said [he would] if we could get Taylor Swift there." When the 76-year-old mentioned that the pop star had previously sung with Stones' frontman Sir Mick Jagger, Prince William humorously responded: "I'm there then."

Prince William, now 41, had an encounter with the Love Story singer back in 2013 when he was invited on stage to sing 'Livin On A Prayer' with Taylor and Jon Bon Jovi at a charity fundraiser. Reflecting on the experience during the Apple Fitness+ Time To Walk series in 2021, he admitted: "Beneath my black tie, there was a lot of sweating going on. I felt like a swan, where I was trying to keep myself composed on the outside, but inside, the little legs are paddling fast." William, who has previously admitted he was in a 'trance' ascending the stage, went on to explain that he was apprehensive about performing with the two A-list musicians in front of a crowd.

"Now, a lot of people might think that I'm comfortable on stage. When I do speeches and things like that, I've done so many now, they're not a problem," he said. "But I've not done singing. At times, when you're taken out of your comfort zone, you've got to roll with it.

"And I think we've gotten to the stage in this life where we do micromanage ourselves. We do worry about: how do we look on social media. Who said what about me? What am I wearing? There's so many pressures, but I think making a fool of yourself is okay."

Meanwhile, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2014, Taylor admitted that she too was anxious about the high-profile show. "It was insane," she told the Irish host. "And I was very nervous for the whole thing because it was at Kensington Palace and it was my first kind of, royal encounter, of sorts."

Taylor then revealed that Jon Bon Jovi had initiated the impromptu performance of his hit song Livin' on a Prayer, after pointing to William and saying, "I hear you like to do this on karaoke night, karaoke boy." The 31-year-old went on to recall that the future King admitted he'd forgotten the words to the tune, before asking if she'd join him on stage for support. "He was kind of freaking out a little bit," she added. "And we got up there [on stage] and started singing Livin' on a Prayer. Like, I died."
