Beauty fans 'repulsed' by woman's false nails after she let them grow out
Fans on a fake nail group online shared their disgust after a woman posted a picture on Facebook of her own bizarre-looking acrylics after they had grown out.
The unnamed woman's photo showed how her bejewelled purple acrylic talons, with silver stars, had grown out to an unsightly length. She shared the snap with members of the Facebook group, That's It, I'm Nail Shaming where hundreds of people commented on it.
Some users were "repulsed" by the image, but others were just impressed that the fake nails had lasted so long. "Damn that acrylic stronger than a lot of relationships," replied one awed person.
Another said: "She's lucky she hasn't taken a fingernail completely off that way!" A third person didn't know how to feel. They commented: "I am disgusted and impressed at the same time." Someone else wrote that they were "thoroughly repulsed" by the photo. "Looking at this makes me want to scream," added someone else.
Fake nails also garnered a lot of attention after a woman hit back at people saying her acrylics made her helpless. Nicki Naomi took to Facebook to share a hilarious list of all the things she can and cannot do with her fake nails. And yes, she can still wipe her behind, in case you were wondering.
'I don't want children staying up late at weekends - I really need adult time'She wrote: "For the people who are confused on women with long nails here are the top 10 things we can and can not do with extended nails (clears throat). We can wipe our a** (why people think we walk around all day funk a**'ed is beyond me).
"We can and do have corporate jobs (we ain't all scammers). We can type on the keyboard (it's loud but kiss my a**)." Nicki went on to add that women with nail extensions can also braid hair, change diapers, fight and change their tampon.
