The two sons of Kate and William, Prince George, aged 10, and Prince Louis, aged five, are bound to have a lot in common as they grow up together in the public eye and with the unique experience of being members of the Royal Family - they are second and fourth in line to the throne respectively.

There is one thing, however, on which the two Wales brothers are complete polar opposites: their music taste. Their father, William revealed just how different the two young boys' music tastes are during a recent trip to Singapore - where he was visiting for the Earthshot Prize ceremony in early November.

Prince William was chatting with a member of OneRepublic, who had performed as the opening act at the Earth ceremony when he revealed that the band is one of Prince Louis' favourites.

"I can't thank you enough. You were amazing. What a way to start the show. That was incredible. Louis, my youngest, loves your songs," he said to the pop-rock musicians, who have spawned hits like Counting Stars, which they performed at the ceremony.

Prince George, on the other hand, prefers his music a little bit more hardcore, it was revealed back in May during the celebrations for the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. As reported by PA, George prefers hard rock, like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

William enjoyed a conversation with a member of the Rock Choir - Caroline Mulvihill - after their performance at the Coronation Concert that took place in Windsor Castle, which was when he explained that George has a big appreciation for classic rock.

"We were talking about the kind of music we do in Rock Choir and Will was telling us in their household they have a very diverse music taste and George is very much into AC/DC and Led Zeppelin," Caroline said.

This is something George shares with his father, who said on the Apple Time To Walk podcast "There’s nothing better than, on a Monday morning, when you're a bit bleary-eyed after the weekend and trying to get yourself back into the grind of the week, listening to AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck'."

It seems like the soundtrack to life in Adelaide Cottage is a pretty varied one, with Waka-Waka by Shakira also being a favourite of the royal children, something William said on the podcast, during which he also did admit that "Most mornings there’s a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played."

He said that they'd started taking it in turns to decide who would pick the song to which they would enjoy their morning family dance around the kitchen, "I have to, now, basically prioritise that one day someone does this one, and another day it's someone else's turn.

"So George gets his go, then Charlotte gets her go. Such is the clamour for the music." William also said he was "amazed" at how much his kids had "inherited my family's love of music."
