PS Plus Essential December 2023 lineup has you covered for free DLC

Regular as clockwork, Sony has officially revealed which trio of titles PS Plus Essential subscribers will be able to download from next week.

They say December is the most wonderful time of year, and this is doubly the case for players with either a PS4 or PS5 that also subscribe to PS Plus Essential. Why? Because PlayStation has just announced which three games are coming to the service next week, and there certainly are some corkers.

First up, for all my fellow clean freaks out there, is Powerwash Simulator. Let the therapeutic sight of filth and grime being blasted off surfaces soothe you. It's certainly better than getting lost down a loophole of pimple popping videos on TikTok. As you complete jobs and amass your profit, you can reinvest to upgrade your cleaning rig; more nozzles, more extensions, more cleanliness!

The game is online co-op as well so you can your buddies can get together and clean up after a long day at work. Sounds like most of my evenings actually but without the help. And don't forget the free Powerwash Simulator FF7 DLC and free Tomb Raider DLC which you get if you own the game, so this entry in particular is bringing all the festive savings.

While our PS Plus predictions this time around were off, PS Plus Twitter leaker @billbil-kin hinted at the next game – Lego 2K Drive – reminding us all of that fact just minutes after the official announcement dropped. Described as a "massive open-world Lego driving adventure" you can play local co-op for two players, or take it online with up to five friends.

The last entry for PS Plus Essential December 2023 is Sable. There's no combat, no narrative-driven plot; it's giving Journey vibes, if you ever played that iconic PS3 game. The artstyle is similarly unique, so if you're after something a bit different, you should definitely add Sabel to your library.

PS Plus Essential November 2023 games

The following games are included in the PS Plus Essential December 2023 lineup as confirmed by Sony on the PlayStation Blog.

• Powerwash Simulator (PS4, PS5)

• Lego 2K Drive (PS4, PS5)
• Sable (PS5)

All three games will become available to download on Tuesday, December 5, and remain available to add to your library download until Monday, January 1. You'll also only have until Monday, December 4 to download the PS Plus Essential November 2023 games.
