Jet2 currently has summer holidays from £390 and kids go free places

You could be jetting off for some winter sunshine on a Jet2 holiday with a hefty 23% discount this Black Friday.

The travel firm is currently flogging package breaks with a £60 discount as part of its Black Friday offering. For a couple looking to get away in the next couple of months, that represents a potentially sizeable discount.

Right now Jet2 is offering £120 off a seven night break to the Mirachoro Praia Da Rocha in the Algarve, Portugal, with the available apartment sleeping two. The £390 price tag covers both people and return flights from London Stansted, leaving on December 4. The £60-a-person discount means the sale price is 23% less than the typical cost of the stay this time of the year.

If Spain is more your glass of Sangria, then Ramada Hotel and Suites Costa Del Sol in Fuengirola is currently going for £239 per person for a week, also leaving London Stansted on December 4. Both breaks include a 22kg checked bag and a 10kg hand luggage allowance.

Benidorm fans can hit up the Pierre & Vacances Horizon on the Costa Blanca for a week at the beginning of December for the incredibly low price of £486 for two people, flying put from Bristol. The temperature in the coastal resort tends to hover around the high teens mark, so there's a good chance you'll be able to catch some rays and have a dip in the sea.

If you're the kind of person who likes to plan a little further ahead, then Jet2 also has a sale going on its summer 2024 holidays.

Seven nights in the Kavos resort of Quayside Village in Corfu is on offer for £652 for two people next May, with return flights from Liverpool thrown in. That represents a discount of £50. Also in next May Jet2 is offering £70 off a week long stay in Apartment El Llores in the Costa Brava, with the total price including return flights from Birmingham coming in at £778 for two.

If you are a single parent travelling with kids, then you can claim a £120 discount off a lot of breaks on the Jet2 website if you are a member of myjet2. It is free to sign up to and if you do, you should be sent a discount code that can be used until the end of December 7.

Jet2 also has a deal on for kids. When two full-paying passengers book a room, one child can holiday for no extra cost – they can fly, pack their favourite toys, enjoy return hotel transfers, stay and play for free. Also, all under-twos go free on Jet2 holidays. All of the company's current deals can be found on its website here. The firm does let customers secure a holiday with deposits from £60, but make sure you're not overstretching yourself if you go for this option.
