Erica Herman, the former girlfriend of Tiger Woods, has dropped a lawsuit against the 82-time PGA Tour winner, after admitting she was never a victim of sexual abuse.

Court documents from Florida's Fourth District Court of Appeal per People revealed Herman was, "never a victim of sexual harassment or sexual abuse at the hands of Tiger Woods or any of his agents and it is her position that she never asserted a claim for such."

In March of this year, the former restaurant manager filed a lawsuit against the 15-time major champion in a bid to end a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) she had signed when the pair started dating in 2017.

Herman cited that there were grounds to nullify the agreement in a case of sexual assault. The former partner of the golf star, referenced the Speak Out Act, which was put in place into the United States legal system to protect victims of sexual assault and harassment.

In May, a judge ruled that Herman could not be released from the NDA, which led to a file of appeal. Six months on though Herman has now ended the lawsuit after dropping the sexual assault claims on Friday.

Woods and Herman began their relationship in 2017, but in their year five years together opted to keep their relationship relatively private. The relationship was officially revealed at the Presidents Cup that year, when the USA took on the International team at Liberty National.

The nine-time Presidents Cup player was on vice-captaincy duties that year, and was joined by Herman across the week in New York. As the pair walked the course, the former Restaurant owner donned a badge only worn by partners of the players and captaincy team.

Two years later Herman watched her now former partner win his third green jacket at Augusta National, as Woods won the 2019 Masters Tournament by one shot ahead of Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson. It was an emotional win for the 15-time major champion, securing his first flagship title in 12 years after a number of injury issues.

Herman greeted Woods on the 18th green after his famous victory, alongside his son Charlie and daughter Sam. There final public appearance together came at the 2022 U.S. Open, when the pair cheered on tennis great Serena Williams upon her return to Flushing Meadows.
