Shaughna Phillips has dismissed body shaming trolls as she celebrates a 'milestone' in her weight loss journey after having a baby.

The Love Island star welcomed her first child, daughter Lucia, with partner Billy in April, after announcing she was pregnant last October. She discovered she was expecting just days after the ITV dating series finale had wrapped, and was left 'speechless' by the life-changing news.

Shaughna, 28, has now opened up about her five stone weight gain since giving birth, as well as her plans to shed the pounds. Jumping onto her Instagram Story on Wednesday morning, the former Lambeth council worker shared the positive update that she plans to reach her walking distance target after checking the weather forecast.

"I am getting my steps into day, if it kills me," she vowed, before revealing that she had hit a major 'milestone' in her weight loss journey. "I have officially lost a stone," she announced, only to joke, "Another three hundred to go. Skinny queen."

Shaughna further discussed her struggle with body image after having a baby on her Oh Baby podcast today, admitting that the changes in her physique have prevented her from wearing certain outfits.

"I don't look like myself," she admitted to co-host Holly J Connolly and guest star, psychotherapist Anna Mathur. "I can't dress the way I want to dress because my body's not the way it used to be."

Shaughna then explained that she's grappling with the ordeal of adapting to a "new body" whilst also having "no time" to "try and get into a better physical or healthier state." To make matters worse, she is also navigating this dilemma with millions of people watching her online.

"I'm really trying now, but I have the added pressure of having to do that in the public eye," she continued. "And just this morning I had people going, I think you really need to lose the weight now." Despite being inundated with rude messages, Shaunagh refuses to let the negativity get her down.

“I can't tell you how much they do not bother me. I don't care," she insisted. "I've had real s*** in my life that people on Instagram telling me I need to lose weight or going, do you know that you've gained weight? Have I? You're telling me I've gained five stone and I haven't realised. Of course I've bloody realized, okay?" The busy mother then explained that she's fell into 'toxic' thought patterns, but is reminding herself it's important to be "present in the moment."

"Like I've literally said to my friends, I'm not going out until I've lost weight," she confessed. "And I know that's such a toxic way to think, but I don't know how to navigate trying to lose weight, trying to look after this baby, trying to do it in the public eye."
