We'll be back with all the latest Manchester United news in the morning!
Erik ten Hag has rubbished suggestions that Manchester United’s injury crisis is being caused by his training regime - and insists his players have been stretched beyond their physical limits by their gruelling schedule.
No team in Europe played more games than United last season, with Ten Hag forced to ask his players to go to the well on 62 occasions in the Dutchman’s first campaign at Old Trafford. But the Reds are now paying a price. Mason Mount is the latest player to be ruled out after sustaining a calf injury in training - and joins Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia and Jonny Evans on the sidelines.
Luke Shaw is back after three months for the visit to Everton, but Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are all doubtful. There have been suggestions that Ten Hag’s training methods are too intense. But the United boss has an alternative theory.
Ten Hag said: “Last year we played the most games across Europe. Last year was also a weird year with a World Cup in the middle of the season. Every manager is complaining about the schedule and I have heard Thomas Tuchel's statements. But each year they keep adding games to the schedule.”

Antoine Griezmann wants to become an Atletico Madrid legend, playing down reports from Spain linking him with Manchester United.
"I've to earn myself to be a legend in this club," Griezmann told Marca. "That’s my mission. By 2024 I want to bring joy to the fans and some title for Atlético. It would be a dream."
Man Utd deadline day live updates as Sabitzer completes loan moveManchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has urged his side to 'match Everton's standards', with the Dutchman expecting the Toffees to be 'mad' after they were hit with a ten-point deduction.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ten Hag said: “I can see the opposition and I can see they are mad, but then finally it’s about us. If they are mad and that’s their fuel, we have to match those standards. When we match the standards we have a very good chance to win the game.”
Erik ten Hag has been brutally told he won't last the season as manager of Manchester United following his reported bust-up with Raphael Varane.
The French World Cup winner, who moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021, has found himself out in the cold at United this season with the likes of Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, and Jonny Evans being picked ahead of him. And his frustrations have led to a breakdown in his relationship with Ten Hag, with the 30-year-old now expected to leave in January.
The development follows Jadon Sancho being axed from the first team squad after his own public bust-up with Ten Hag in September. And Cristiano Ronaldo also left the club in acrimonious circumstances in January following his notorious Piers Morgan: Uncensored interview where he savaged the Dutchman's coaching ability.
And now former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique, no stranger to putting the boot into United, has warned Ten Hag that his latest fallout is a sign he's losing control: "I do not think Erik ten Hag will finish this season at Manchester United, he told .

Harry Redknapp believes Manchester Unitedwill suffer a chastening 2-1 defeat to Everton on Sunday evening, despite the fact the Toffees are still reeling from a 10-point deduction.
"One thing’s for certain, the atmosphere in Goodison will be incredible. When that place gets loud, it’s literally shaking! After the point deduction, the fans will be right behind the team," he told BetVictor.
"Sean Dyche might even use this to galvanise his team and use this adversary to bring his squad together, that’s what I’d be doing. I think people are forgetting that Everton have been in good form over the last month as well.
"United have been getting wins but the performances haven’t been great. You look ahead at the fixtures on the way, it feels like this month will define their season. Sean Dyche will really fancy the win here. Everton have had some famous, famous wins over United down the years. I can see another here."

Manchester United misfit Donny van de Beek has admitted he needs to quit Old Trafford.
The Dutch midfielder insists he has no regrets about joining United in a £35million deal just over three years ago, despite making just six Premier League starts during his time at the club.
Van de Beek, signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, failed to nail down a regular place in the team under the Norwegian - and his hopes of finding his feet under his former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag were wrecked by a knee injury that sidelined him for much of last season. The 26-year-old says he is now desperate for a new challenge and wants to leave United when the transfer window opens in the New Year.
Van de Beek, who has made just two substitute appearances this season, said: ''I am bouncing to play matches again. The manager is making different choices now. We have a big squad and I am not the only one knocking on the door. We'll see in January what happens."

All eyes will be on Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon when Everton host Manchester United in what's set to be an emotionally charged day.
Erik ten Hag knows his players will have to contend with a vociferous home crowd out to voice their displeasure at their club being deducted 10 points by the Premier League. And if that wasn't enough of a headache in itself, United will go into the game still missing several key players due to injury.
Those problems mounted during the international break, with Ten Hag admitting in Friday's press conference he would be making a last minute decision on the availability of certain players. But amid the gloom, there is welcome news for the Dutch boss as well.

Juventus are hopeful of signing Jadon Sancho on loan, but Calciomercato reports that a return to Borussia Dortmund is the winger's first choice.

Ethan Wheatley was the star of the show, scoring four of United's five. Gabriele Bianchieri also found the net, with Princewill Ehibatiomham scoring for the opposition.
With Manchester United struggling for numbers in midfield, there could be a chance for Kobbie Mainoo to feature against Everton on Sunday.
The academy graduate was backed by Erik ten Hag last season, but an injury sustained in pre-season has left him sidelined.
The 18-year-old has yet to feature for the seniors this term, but was on the bench for the last three league games and will be knocking on the door after injuries to the likes of Mason Mount and Casemiro.
Teden Mengi scored his first ever Premier League goal as Luton Town claimed their first home league win of the season.
The defender, who joined the Hatters from Manchester United over the summer, scored the opener against Crystal Palace.
Michael Olise equaliser for the Eagles, only for Jacob Brown to restore the home side's lead and deliver a big three points.
The futures of Manchester United duo Casemiro and Raphael Varane are likely to be considered once Sir Jim Ratcliffe officially arrives at the club.
The British billionaire is hoping his proposal for a minority stake in the club will be ratified this weekend, at which point he is expected to take a lead role in the football operations at Old Trafford. One of Ratcliffe's priorities is sorting out the club's recruitment, which is likely to involve axing some big names.
Casemiro and Varane, who both arrived from Real Madrid, have major reputations given their success in the game but neither is hitting the heights expected. They cost a combined £112million and are both on big contracts without currently delivering.

Manchester United have tried and failed to land Thomas Muller on numerous occasions.
The Bayern Munich man has been one of Europe's most consistent performers for well over a decade but has spent his entire career at the Allianz Arena. Now at the age of 34, there is a decision for Muller to make with his contract winding down in Bavaria.
He remains an integral figure for the German champions, but would have no shortage of offers if he did choose to try something new late in his career. Muller has made more appearances than any outfield player in the club's history but was first on United's radar 10 years ago.

Members of Erik ten Hag's coaching staff are reportedly of the opinion that the Manchester United manager should tone down his hardline approach.
After enjoying a fine maiden campaign at the helm, the Dutchman has found himself under pressure in recent weeks after overseeing the club's worst start to a season in the Premier League era. Concerns over poor results have been further punctuated by personnel issues following fallouts with both Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.
Ten Hag has adopted a stern, no-nonsense approach after inheriting a squad devoid of discipline. However, it now seems as though some of those within Ten Hag's inner-circle believe he should change tact.

Dimitar Berbatov believes Manchester United's game with Everton tomorrow will end in a 1-1 draw.
The Toffees received a 10-point deduction during the international break.
Berbatov told Betfair: "It's going to be an interesting game. With Everton being deducted 10 points, they're suddenly in the relegation zone. If they win, it'll be good for their belief.
"United have all these injuries, so it's going to be tough for them going to Everton.
"You need to know how to make the smart choices as a club, when you don't, the consequences are severe. The players will be devastated.
"Now, the players will need to do the hard work of getting the club back out of the relegation zone. They'll be angry, for sure, with that decision. The hard work now starts against United.
"I get the feeling Everton have the chance to win this one based on so many injuries for United, especially if the fans are on board with the team.
"We all know the stadium can be crazy when backs are against the wall - I've experienced it. United do have a good record against Everton, though, so I'll go for the draw."

Manchester United's assistant coach Mitchell van der Gaag will fill in for Erik ten Hag at Everton with the Dutchman dealing with a touchline ban.
The Red Devils travel to Goodison Park on Sunday but will have their coach's No 2 barking the orders.
Ten Hag has now picked up three yellow cards, the most recent coming in the win over Luton, and has been punished as a result.
He will watch the game from the director's box but still be allowed to communicate with his staff.
Van der Gaag has spent more than a decade as a head coach at the likes of Maratimo, Excelsior and NAC Breda so will by no means be out of his depth on Merseyside.

Cristiano Ronaldo produced a moment of magic on Friday to cap off a memorable 3-0 victory for Al-Nassr against Al-Akhdoud.
Al-Nassr took the lead in the 13th minute of the Saudi Pro League game when Sami Al-Najei scored.
Ronaldo found the net after the break, but it was his second goal that caught the eye.
The 38-year-old forward scored an outrageous strike from around 35 yards out.
It was one Ronaldo's most unique goals.
Al-Akhdoud goalkeeper Paulo Vitor rushed out of his net to clear the ball, but he gave it straight to Ronaldo.
The Portugal international calmly chested the ball down before looping it high into the Saudi sky.
As all the defenders looked upwards, the ball eventually dropped right in the middle of the target.
Andy Cole has compared Manchester United's transfer recruitment to shopping at "Primark and Zara" after hammering the club's decision to sign Antony.
The Brazilian, who joined the Red Devils from Ajax for £86million in the summer of 2022, scored eight goals in 44 appearances across all competitions for United last season. But Antony has failed to find the net in 12 matches so far this term and has not been able to get back to the level he showed in the Eredivisie.
Antony is United's second most-expensive transfer behind Paul Pogba and the 23-year-old has been linked with a surprise move away from the club in January. Earlier this month, Cole claimed that Antony would have driven him "absolutely mad" if they had played together.

Ex-United defender Mikael Silvestre is expecting Everton to give the Red Devils a "tough game" on Sunday.
Sean Dyche's side have won three of their last five Premier League matches but find themselves in the relegation zone after being docked 10 points for breaching profit and sustainability rules.
"I'm trying to think about the players' mindset. Everton will continue," Silvestre told bettingexpert.com. "They're on a good run and have been picking up points. So I think it will be a tough game for United.
"Every time when you come back from the international break, the coach has to pick up the pieces and it's tough. Players are tired physically and mentally. So, yeah it will be another test. The last few games for Man Utd, they've been winning apart from the derby obviously. The fighting spirit is there and they’ll need it against Everton.
"Everton have had that since the beginning of the season. They know they are going to be in a dogfight and United has to at least be at the same intensity and aggression for that fixture."

Erik ten Hag has been brutally told he won't last the season as manager of Manchester United following his reported bust-up with Raphael Varane.
Ex-Liverpool defender Jose Enrique told : "I do not think Erik ten Hag will finish this season at Manchester United. Many players within the club are already against him. Raphael Varane is against him and Ten Hag has done a couple of things which haven't gone down well with Jadon Sancho, Antony and Cristiano Ronaldo in the past."
Mason Mount has been ruled out for a number of weeks after picking up a fresh injury.
Mount has been hit by a calf problem in the build-up to Sunday's trip to Everton. The issue looks likely to rule out the midfielder for a number of weeks, with Mount expected to miss up to the next month.
Paul Merson has said he'd be surprised if Manchester United manage to overcome the Goodison Park atmosphere to beat Everton on Sunday.
"The atmosphere at Goodison Park will be mind-blowing this Sunday. After what happened with Everton's point deduction, the fans are going to be up for this one," Merson told Sportskeeda. "I don't see Everton losing this game. It's us against the world as far as Sean Dyche's men are concerned and Goodison Park will be rocking.
"Manchester United will be up against a team determined to prove everyone wrong. I'd actually be shocked if Everton got beaten in this one."
UEFA have confirmed that Marcus Rashford will serve a one-match suspension against Galatasaray next week after being sent-off in Manchester United's Champions League defeat to FC Copenhagen.
