Kylie Jenner fans hit back at haters over her romance with Timothée Chalamet
Kylie Jenner's fans jumped to her defense after online trolls ripped into her relationship with Timothée Chalamet.
The reality TV stalwart and makeup guru has been targeted by haters ever since it was first rumoured that she was seeing Chalamet. And they reared their ugly heads again when 26-year-old Jenner showed up to support Chalamet, 27, at his Saturday Night Live gig in New York.
At the weekend, the mum-of-two supported the Hollywood actor as he prepared to host the iconic sketch show for a second time. Eagle-eyed audience members were quick to spot Jenner in the crowd, reportedly sitting with Chalamet’s family, and shared their sightings on socials – prompting an outpouring of criticism.
One social media user balked, “His family actually likes her?!” while another added: “He’s in love with her – sad.” Others dismissed her as “rich white trash” and said they couldn’t “even imagine them having a conversation” together let alone dating.
Supporters of Jenner hit back at the cruel comments, responding: “Maybe Kylie is super smart (why wouldn’t she be??) or maybe Timmy is actually a whole idiot (why wouldn’t he be??). [You’re] putting this person on a pedestal when you don’t even know them." Some casually pointed out that, in fact, the pair would have plenty in common because “they’re both young and famous and rich.”

Beauty mogul Jenner, who shares children Stormi, 5, and 18-month-old Aire with her rapper ex Travis Scott, also joined Chalamet at the SNL after-party later that evening – although they were snapped arriving separately. A couple of weeks earlier, they enjoyed a date night at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards. Their romance is believed to have begun in April, and they succeeded in keeping it under wraps until September, when they piled on the PDAs at both a Beyoncé concert in LA, and tennis tournament the US Open.
Oscar nominee Chalamet, who shot to fame for his peachy performance in 2017’s Call Me By Your Name, will soon be seen singing and dancing up a storm as Willy Wonka in, yes, Wonka – hopefully folks will be more sweet on Jenner by then.
