This Morning fans have called for Cat Deeley and Rylan Clark to be the permanent hosts of the ITV chat show.

On Monday, the SMTV Live legend, 47, and Rylan, 35, presented the ITV chat show together for the first time after it was reported that Cat would be a new presenter after Holly Willoughby departed the show. Opening the show, Rylan said: "Hello and welcome to Monday's This Morning, what a way to start the week, TV legend Cat Deeley is in the studio!"

To which Cat replied: "Hello and good morning, can you believe they've let two of the naughtiest people in television live on ITV This Morning" with Rylan quipping: "Now this is officially the end, just letting you all know guys, this is how it ends with us two!"

Later, the two presenters had exciting news as they revealed that they would be bringing back and playing Wonkey Donkey. SMTV Live fans will recall that Wonkey Donkey was a staple on the Saturday morning children's television programme , where a stuffed animal was put in a costume and viewers called in to guess what is was but it had to rhyme.

On Monday's show, after Spin to Win, the duo then had Wonkey Donkey for viewers to enjoy where a stuffed monkey toy was playing a guitar, which was of course funky monkey. However, the caller got very confused about the instructions, repeating "Wonkey Donkey" before adding "guitar monkey". An exasperated Rylan was quick to remind the caller it had to rhyme, hilariously shouting: "It's got to rhyme, what's wrong with you? Say 'funky monkey!'"
