The guest said that 60 students were admitted into the theatre programme each year, adding that her and Lady Gaga later "dropped out at the same time". She then went on to share her thoughts on the Grammy Award winner.

"I was not a fan," she said. Carly continued by saying that although her classmate was "so talented," she would often be found singing songs from the musical Wicked "at the top of her lungs" whilst other students were having lunch.

Carly said: "You would eat just in like a dance studio. She would sit at the piano every single day and just play and sing Wicked at the top of her lungs [...] And we were all just trying to eat lunch. [...] We were all like forced to listen to her."

She complimented the singer-songwriter whilst in the discussion with the host, saying: "She was great, but I just wanted to eat my sandwich." Carly then added: "So I used to just eat in the hallway cause she was driving me crazy."

Carly - who said that she hasn't spoken to Lady Gaga since they both dropped out of NYU - described the performer as "extra" and, discussing her talent, said that she had been "one of the good ones" among the group in the programme.

She added: "I would never be like 'she was so above [us]' but now she's so above." Carly said that the musician was "good at everything" but "better at her own stuff," and said that Lady Gaga performed her own music in a talent show.
