Shaughna Phillips ‘honoured’ to be single mum as she splits from boyfriend
Shaughna Phillips said she is “honoured” to be a single mum as she confirmed her split from boyfriend Billy Webb after his shocking drug arrest.
The 28-year-old former Love Island star welcomed her gorgeous daughter Lucia in April, but just weeks before she was due to give birth, Billy was arrested for drug offences. In January, he was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, leaving Shaughna “blindsided”.
She refused to confirm if she was sticking by Billy following his arrest, and in a recent episode of her Oh Baby! podcast with best friend Holly Connolly, she confirmed her relationship with the father of her child was over for good. “I’m going to wear the title as a badge of honour - I don’t have any guilt about being a single mum it’s just the hand of cards that I was dealt,” she explained, adding that she felt like “mum of the year”.

Despite being besotted with her gorgeous daughter, the reality TV star admitted she was heartbroken by Lucia’s first words. “All I get is Dada, dada and I’m like ‘Wow – a son would not do me dirty like this! It’s just rude,” she quipped. “I look at her and go ‘Mama’ and she’s like ‘not today, probably not next month, maybe not ever’. For banter she’s probably going to say Nana first.”

When she first announced her pregnancy, Shaughna said parenthood was going to be the couple’s “greatest chapter yet”, but her world was turned upside down when Billy was arrested after a police raid at the beginning of the year. She previously spoke about the highs and lows of her relationship with her ex, and said it was difficult to stay positive.

Billy's not around, but I don't want to say that I'm doing it on my own, because I'm absolutely not – my family's incredible,” she told . “It's going to be different, but I don't want to say it's going to be bad.”
When news broke of his arrest, Shaughna was heavily pregnant, and said she was trying to focus on the baby during the incredibly stressful time. She told the outlet she was going to “prepare for the birth and try to be as calm as possible” following the “challenging few weeks” after Billy’s drug raid drama.
Shaughna’s rep insisted she had no knowledge of Billy’s criminal activity, and issued a statement following his arrest. “Despite being in a long term relationship with the defendant, Shaughna has no links with the address in question, and will be openly assisting the police with their enquiries,” they stated.
