Suzi Quatro nearly missed her Good Morning Britain interview today after an alarm blunder.

The rock legend was meant to be in the studio to chat to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on the ITV breakfast show today, but she ended up calling in from her Essex home after missing her alarm for the first time ever. At the top of her interview, she was welcomed onto the show, to which she replied: "It's great to be here, I have to give you a congratulations because in my 59-year long career this is the first time my alarm didn't go off."

The hosts laughed about the blunder, before Susanna joked: "We are sorry, we should have sent you round a few alarms." Instead of being in the studio, Suzi was sat in front of a whole wall of gold records, showing off her musical successes.

She also recalled a near meeting with Elvis Presley, but sadly it wasn't to be. She said: "I was supposed to meet him in 1974, I was in America on tour, and the phone rang and it was Elvis’ people and he was on the phone. He said, 'Hello this is Elvis and I heard your version of All Shook Up and I think it is the best version since my own, would you like to come to Graceland?'"

Whilst most would have jumped at the opportunity, Suzi turned Elvis down. She added: "I said thank you, but I am busy at the moment," as Susanna audibly gasped at her rejection, leaving Suzi laughing.

It's not the only time this week a guest has encountered a problem. Earlier in the week, Strictly Come Dancing favourite Bobby Brazier ended up being separated from his dance partner Dianne Buswell when he got stuck in traffic.

The pair were on Good Morning Britain together, but EastEnders star Bobby had to do his interview from the car, as he had not woken up in time to make it to the studio for the early morning interview. He told Dianne he missed her, before jokingly blaming her for not calling him and waking him up like she normally did when they had rehearsals.

During their chat, Bobby said he had no plans to stop being so intense with Dianne despite backlash. He opened up about their strong friendship and said he was looking forward to the more intimate dances together.
