Tommy Fury lifts lid on private message from Jake Paul after KSI fight

Jake Paul sent Tommy Fury an "extra nice message" after his controversial win against YouTube boxer KSI.

Love Island star Fury improved his unbeaten professional record to 10-0 last month by winning a decision against KSI in a lacklustre fight. There was more holding than boxing by both men and Fury claimed a pre-existing hand injury was one reason for his poor performance on the night.

The Brit handed Paul his first boxing defeat in February as he won a split decision despite being dropped in the final round. Fury thinks Paul is trying to butter him up to secure a rematch as he told Daily Mail: "He messaged me the other day and said, 'Congratulations brother, you know, I could tell there’s something wrong with your hand.'

"All this sort of stuff, being extra nice. Trying to get that fight on. At the end of the day, it's one of them, I think the fight is inevitable. He knows that I'm his biggest draw and for me now sitting at the top I've done things that he hasn't.

"Him and KSI have been talking about fighting for years, I've literally came and inside 12 months beat the pair of them, on their own show. I don't know, it is what it is. It's my choice now, no matter what I'm the head of the crossover thing now. It's alright me saying it because I've beat the two best men in it. So whoever I want to fight next it's up to me. I can pick and choose these guys."

Paul makes his boxing return on December 15 as he will compete away from pay-per-view for the first time since his fight against AnEsonGib in January 2020. 'The Problem Child' called out Fury, who doesn't have his next fight lined up yet, for a rematch by telling him to "sign the contract" after his brother Logan beat Dillon Danis by disqualification.

KSI has admitted that he may never fight again after his controversial defeat to Fury, which he appealed with the Professional Boxing Association. "I feel like I won the fight, I felt like Tommy was surprised. He didn’t expect me to move the way I was moving. There was quite a few people who hoped I would lose or get knocked out, they saw that first round and were like ‘Oh no’. I felt like I was doing well throughout the rounds, getting the big shots off," KSI said on Impaulsive.
