Michelle Visage's coy response when asked if she's Jellyfish on Masked Singer
Michelle Visage had a cheeky response when she was quizzed if she was behind the Jellyfish on The Masked Singer.
The Ru Paul's Drag Race panellist and former Strictly Come Dancing star appeared on The One Show today to chat about the drag race convention coming up, when hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas turned conversations to The Masked Singer. The ITV guessing game kicked off last weekend, with Jellyfish being one of the stars taking to the stage.
Some fans were convinced Michelle might be behind the Jellyfish mask after they impressed the audience and four panellists – Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan – with an incredible performance of Sweet Child O'Mine.
In their clue package, Jellyfish appeared to be female as she said she was "all about love". She also said she has "unexpectedly won" before. Before she left the stage, she gave the judges one more clue in the form of a riddle.
"Give me good vibes only, that's a great salutation. Let's love and not hate, like a funny animation," she said.
Three new celebrities are set to join The Masked Singer panel this weekendAs Alex and Jermaine quizzed Michelle on if she might be behind Jellyfish, she kept her poker face.
"There are always rumours and that's the fun about shows like The Masked Singer," she said coyly refusing to confirm or deny if she was behind the sea creature themed mask, before adding: "If I told you, I'd ruin it."
Davina had previously confessed in pre-show interviews that Jellyfish had made her cry on one occasion.
"Jellyfish is an extraordinary performer and has made us all feel pretty emotional," she said. Her co-star Rita Ora admitted she was drawn to both Jellyfish and Rhino, adding: "I think the characters I’m really drawn towards are Jellyfish and Rhino. And some of them really make me laugh, like Otter. Those three are the ones that stand out most to me."
Other guesses have included Coronation Street and Strictly star Kym Marsh and Glee star Amber Riley.
Six more singers – Fawn, Jacket Potato, Piece of Cake, Pigeon, Rhino and Rubbish – will appear on the ITV guessing game show next weekend in a bid to win themselves a place in the next round and keep their mask firmly on.
