This Morning's Rylan Clark 'quits' show after Josie Gibson snub
Rylan Clark reportedly 'walked off' the set of ITV's This Morning just before the show was about to start.
This surprising exit happened as fans were calling for him and co-host Josie Gibson to become the full-time hosts of the show, according to Chronicle Live. After being away from the This Morning studio for over a year, Rylan returned this week alongside Ruth Langsford. The duo has been praised for their 'natural chemistry' and 'energy', with viewers describing their partnership as a 'breath of fresh air'.
However, things took an unexpected turn during Thursday's live broadcast. As is standard practice, Lorraine stand-in presenter Ranvir Singh crossed live to Rylan and Josie on set to get a hint of what was coming up.
But after Ranvir complimented Josie on her white shirt, Rylan seemed to take offence and walked off camera. He retorted: "Yeah, I'll go. Bye!" after Ranvir added: "Not you Rylan," following her compliment to Josie.
The well-liked presenter then disappeared from the camera's view, leaving viewers at home puzzled about his whereabouts. However, he was back in position next to Josie just moments later as This Morning resumed its broadcast.

The presenter, back fronting the ITV daytime show this week, left Josie taken aback when he asked a cheeky question. Rounding off his week-long return, the former singer and Josie were joined live in the studio by resident agony aunt Deirdre Roberts. The advice expert was once again on hand to answer viewers' questions about love in a phone-in dubbed 'Deirdre's Relationship Clinic'.
However, before all that, they wanted to know more about a very special moment for her at Windsor Castle in the days before. They were thrilled that she was awarded her MBE by the Prince of Wales after being recognised for her services to charity and mental health. Prince William bestowed the honour, which recognises community achievements or services that help the person become a true role model, upon her during an investiture ceremony.
Rylan was quick to offer his congratulations which was quickly echoed by Josie before Rylan gushed: "You deserve this so much!" Deirdre had brought in her medal for the pair to have a look at, with Rylan exclaiming it was "beautiful" with Josie adding: "Isn't it lovely?"
TV presenter Rylan then continued to heap praise upon Deidre, 78, as he said: "Honestly Deirdre, it's a long time coming, in my opinion. I'm so glad you've been recognised like that." But it was his next remarks that took everyone by surprise - and it left those at home giggling.
He bluntly said: "I've gotta ask, though - did you rob anything?". Deirdre was left taken aback by his comment with her responding: "Did I what?!" As Josie burst out laughing, Deirdre tried to move on from the comment. "We are planning to go back," she said as a cheeky Rylan replied: "Well, that's why she's not telling us!"
