Man fighting for life after being found with stab wounds as cops launch probe

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed as police investigate multiple lines of enquiry.

Officers were called to Freeman Street in Grimsby following reports from a member of the public that a man had sustained serious stab injuries this afternoon. He was rushed to hospital, with his injuries believed to be life threatening at this time, Humberside Police has confirmed.

Detective Inspector Darren Gray said: “We are in the very early stages of our investigation, and I have a team of dedicated officers conducting multiple lines of enquiries as we look to establish the circumstances around this incident.

“Understandably given the nature of this incident it will be concerning to the local community, and locals to the area can expect a high presence of officers providing reassurance whilst our enquiries continue. Please come and speak to us if you have any concerns.

“I would ask anyone with any information that may assist with our ongoing investigation to contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 232 of 1 November.”
