Robert De Niro's alleged actions to his former assistant have been brought to light in court as she attempts to sue him for £9.9million for causing "severe emotional distress and reputational harm".

Graham Chase Robinson claims that during her employment with the Oscar winner, she was called abusive names and shouted at, as well as a host of bizarre and unusual requests made by De Niro. Robinson claims that he would call her while he was on the toilet and ask that she scratch his back, as opposed to using a device to carry out the task.

De Niro rebuked the claim, telling the court it may have happened occasionally, but "never with disrespect or lewdness". He then looked towards his former employee and shouted: "Shame on you, Chase Robinson," before quietly apologising.

In one particularly outrageous request, Robinson claims that De Niro ordered "a particular martini" from Nobu to be delivered to his home in an Uber — but the actor claims this only happened once. The request was reportedly insisted upon at 11pm.

Andrew Macurdy, one of Robinson's lawyers, asked whether it was true he sometimes urinated as he spoke to his former employee on the phone. He answered: "That's nonsense. You got us all here for this?"

Mr Macurdy also told De Niro he called Ms Robinson a "b**** to her face". De Niro responded: "I was never abusive, ever," though he admitted he may have used the word during conversations.

The Killers of the Flower Moon star is countersuing Robinson and claiming that while on her $300,000 a year salary, she allegedly stole things from him, including five million airline points racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars on the company credit card for improper personal expenses, including meals and numerous Uber trips.

Robinson reportedly "loafed during work hours, binge-watching astounding hours of TV shows on Netflix," the counterclaim, obtained by Business Insider states. De Niro is seeking the return of three years' salary.
