Everybody takes their tea differently, and everybody is convinced that their way is the best way. Whether you're the sort of person who takes their cuppa super milky, or you're more of a builder's brew person, it's totally down to the individual.

But one man's tea hack has left people seriously divided, with some saying that the product he added would "make anything taste nice", and others joking that they were "calling the police" due to the sweet tasty treat that he added to the cup of tea.

Lem, who posts on TikTok with username @lemtiktok7, captioned his video: "Custard in a cuppa trust me don't knock it till you try it."

Over the top of the video, where he can be seen pouring the ready-made custard into a cup of tea, he wrote: "Custard in a cuppa, remember who put you on." He poured a hefty amount of custard into the tea until it went the colour of his choosing, and he stirred it in thoroughly. When he'd stirred it, he decided to add more of the sweet treat into the tea.

In the comments, people were quick to point out what was wrong with the concoction, with one writing: "Egg-based desert in boiling hot water what could go wrong?" Another said: "Not the curdled custard cuppa and knock-off dodgers", followed by a crying with laughter face, and Lem replied: "Aldi special!"

Some people asked him how he found this hack out, and he said: "Had no milk left one time, and my initiative kicked in", but someone said he "should be locked up" for choosing to put the custard in his tea, rather than just drinking it black, and another said it was a "sin."

"This is illegal", someone fumed, another added: "This should come with a public safety warning", and another TikToker wrote: "Anything would taste nice with custard though its pure sugar. I'd eat a pair of Crocs if they had custard on!"

Would you drink custard in a cuppa? Let us know in the comments.
