Sara Pascoe shares second child's name and first snap after giving birth to tot

Sara Pascoe has said she can't believe her luck after welcoming a second child into the world as she shared the tot's name and a first glimpse of her adorable newborn.

Sharing sweet snaps of her eldest child and her newborn baby with fans on Instagram this afternoon, the comedian penned: "I’ve been in a hormone hole for three weeks so excuse my lateness- allow me to introduce baby Albie. As a 42-year-old infertile woman, I can’t believe my luck to have had two children (IVF). I also can’t believe how much washing there is. I’ll see you at gigs later in the year when I’ve stopped crying every three minutes, lots of love ps last photo is @steenrasko I think his face sums up the postpartum period very well."

Announcing her news, Sara shared a string of snaps of her adorable newborn, including one of their elder son, lovingly gazing at his younger brother. The actress and comic wrapped the little one in a sweet blue blanket as she cradled him in her arms. Meanwhile, a second snap saw her husband Steen Raskopoulos holding little Albie in his arms while also cuddling their elder son.

Her post which has racked up thousands of likes and the comments secton was soon flooded with messages of celebration from her famous pals and friends. Katherine Ryan said: "I love Albie and all you four," alongside a string of heart-eye emojis. Meanwhile, Olly Smith added: "Marvellous! Congratulations and all the love."

Sarah Millican typed: "Ah massive congrats to you all xxx." As one fan responded: "Welcome to the two boys club. You'll have a lifetime of love, washing laugher and mess. Hope you're well and your bits are healing. Take it easy mummy."

The update comes just hours after the Great British Sewing Bee announced the comedian had given birth to her second child. The official Twitter page for the programme shared the delightful news, saying: "Sending lots of love to Sara and her new baby!" The actress announced her pregnancy in May this year as she posed in a rainbow-coloured dress while showcasing her blossoming baby bump while Steen stood next to her, holding a beer can.

Captioning her announcement, she said: "Here we go again. Eating for two and drinking for no one," making light of the non-alcoholic Heineken beers in front of her.

Sara and Steen welcomed their first child in 2020 through IVF. She has previously spoken about her struggles to conceive naturally and told Women's Health: "What bothered me in my thirties was not knowing if I was going to have kids. My worry was: my life is really great now, but I don't want to regret [not being a mum] when I'm 50. It was like making a hypothetical decision based on a sadness I hadn't felt yet. The way society ties women's success to marriage and babies weighed heavily on me; I think women are complicit in reinforcing it."
