Sky and Virgin Media are expected to offer some huge discounts this Black Friday

Black Friday is fast approaching, as savvy shoppers around the country are hoping to bag some amazing discounts at their favourite retailers. Black Friday takes place at the same time every year – the first Friday after the US celebrates Thanksgiving.

This year, Black Friday is on November 24 and will run across the whole weekend until November 27. Last year's sale generated £9.1 billion in sales, with tech proving to be one of the most bought items, as it often has the biggest discounts.

Black Friday marks one of the year’s biggest shopping events with huge retailers including Apple, Samsung, and Currys taking part. Sky and Virgin Media are also expected to be offering customers some amazing Black Friday deals once again this year.

The popular retailers usually offer discounts on their TV, broadband and mobile packages, plus great bundles to really get the most out of the discounted products.

What to expect from Sky and Virgin Media this Black Friday

Neither Sky or Virgin has confirmed their deals for Black Friday 2023, but as with previous years we would expect to see discounts across their TV, broadband and mobile range. We would expect Sky to offer discounts on Sky Glass, Stream, Sky Q, Sky Live and their Superfast broadband packages.

Sky lowered its 43” Sky Glass TV to £11 a month last year, making it one of Sky’s lowest monthly offers on the TV range. Sky also offered customers a price cut on a bundle including a 43” Sky Glass TV, a Sky TV package and Netflix’s Basic plan.

This deal came in at £36 a month, down from £39 with a £10 upfront cost. This gave customers a £144 saving over the package’s 48-month period.
