GMB star shares Britney Spears' 'random' request to 'jump on her bed'
Good Morning Britain entertainment reporter Duncan James recalled the moment he received a "random" request from pop princess Britney Spears.
The former Blue musician was touring with his co-stars Simon Webbe, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan when they attended a VIP event with the Toxic songstress. He remembered the strange ordeal during Tuesday's episode on ITV.
Speaking to Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley, the stand-in showbiz editor detailed the story following the release of the hitmaker's new memoir, The Woman In Me. The presenters were discussing their encounters with Britney.
Britney invited the band members to jump on her bed (Getty Images)On GMB, Richard said: "Most of us here have interviewed her." He then turned to Duncan and added: "You had a moment with her?" As he explained: "We did have a random moment. So she did a movie, Crossroads, and me and the boys [Blue] got invited to the afterparty, and it was in this club."
He added: "And there was this VIP room where Britney was. It was a really random room, because there was this huge bed in the middle of the room. And Britney was there and we got asked in to meet Britney and we said hello to her.

"And she asked us, 'Do you want to jump on the bed?'. And we were like, 'Ok!' So next minute, all four of us and Britney were jumping around on the bed. It was the most surreal thing ever." It comes after Britney has likened her passionate fling with actor Colin Farrell to a "street fight" and said they were "all over each other".
The pair started dating following Britney's split from Justin Timberlake, who she had dated for four years. Writing in her memoir, the singer said she decided to start dating again after discovering Justin had "slept with six or seven girls" in the weeks after they broke up. Britney decided that if he was going to date, she should "try to get out there, too". The 41-year-old was then introduced to Colin through a club promoter friend.
Duncan recalled the moment on Tuesday's episode of GMB (ITV)She recalled visiting the set of Colin's 2003 action movie S.W.A.T where she was invited to sit in the director's chair and watch them film. "Colin came over and said, 'Do you have any pointers for what I should do here?' He was inviting me to direct him.
"We wound up having a two-week brawl. Brawl is the only word for it – we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight," Britney wrote. During their brief fling, Colin invited Britney to the premiere of his spy thriller The Recruit, which also starred Al Pacino. The Toxic hitmaker admitted she had been "so excited" to be at the premiere. She also said his family were "so warm to me".
Britney admitted she was "vulnerable" during her brief romance with Colin as she "wasn't over Justin yet". However, she said she did allow herself to think "there could be something there", but only "for a brief moment". She explained that the "disappointments" in her love life had become part of how "isolated" she felt at the time. Britney added: "I felt so awkward all the time."
While Britney seemed to be falling for Colin, he said they were only ever friends. After she attended the premiere of Colin's 2003 film The Recruit, he told reporters they were "just mates".
