Keith Duffy has been rushed to hospital in Dubai with a painful injury – hours before his scheduled performance in the UAE.

The former Boyzone singer, 49, posted a photo of himself laying in a hospital bed with a bandaged knee while surrounded by medical staff to share the news of his hospital dash with fans. The Instagram share sees Keith wearing a burgundy T-shirt and matching shorts set along with a pair of trainers.

He dons sunglasses in the snap while cannula can be seen attached to the inside of one of his arms. Meanwhile, the singer's knee is bandaged up while he looks at the camera and five medical professionals surround him and look at the camera for the snap. Keith is scheduled to perform alongside Brian McFadden in Dubai as part of the group Boyzlife tonight.

Writing above the photo Keith told his followers: "A huge thank you to all the Doctors and nurses at Dubai's Mediclinic who helped me get back on my feet for tomorrows big show in Dubai". [sic] He added: "Surgery on hold till I get home but a little patch work some pain management and the show must go on", before signing off the message with a blue heart emoji.
