Celebrity Big Brother's Chantelle haunted memories of creepy Jimmy Savile

Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton has said that watching her time back in the famous house alongside disgraced paedophile Jimmy Savile give her chills and makes her feel sick to her stomach.

Chantelle, 40, appeared on the celebrity series in 2006 alongside the disgraced DJ. Chantelle arrived into the Big Brother house as the only non-celebrity of the series, and says that watching back her conversations with Savile is disturbing after his sex crimes came to light following his death in October, 2011.

Savile fooled the nation with his eccentric TV persona and endless fundraising for decades, however, behind closed doors lay a deeply dark and sinister secret as the disgraced DJ used his good deeds to hide in plain sight and got away with sexually abusing hundreds of victims for more than 50 years. It wasn't until after his death in 2011 that his sickening crimes came to light, and Savile was finally uncovered as a vile paedophile and rapist.

In recent weeks, several old videos of Savile have resurfaced online following the release of BBC One series, The Reckoning, which recounts Savile's sex crimes and fall from grace before his death at 84.

Savile's entrance into the Celebrity Big Brother house was a moment Chantelle, who won the same series of CBB, has never been able to forgot. Recalling the time she spent with Savile in the famous house, Chantelle said she now hopes the disgraced TV star “rots in hell with worms eating his eyes”.

"Obviously back then, no one knew anything, so it was a bit of a 'wow' moment, him coming in. It was Sir Jimmy Savile, wasn't it? The excitement in the house, when he walked through, was just electric. He was this iconic guy, it was just exciting. At the time, it felt like an absolute honour to meet him. Obviously he dressed a bit strange, but you overlooked all of that because it was Sir Jimmy Savile," she said about his entrance into the house.

Chantelle recalls that Savile was 'full of fun, charm, and stories' and was the centre of attention the moment he entered the house. However, after recently watching back her first encounter with him, Chantelle told The Sun that it makes her 'blood run cold'. Upon entering the famous house, Savile told former Coronation Street actress Rula Lenska: "I would want to marry all of you ladies for at least 24 hours."

He then turned to Chantelle, took hold of her hand and kissed it several times. After doing so, Savile then said to Chantelle: "I know that many fellas love you, but they don’t love you with the sincerity and tenderness I do." Chantelle giggled at the time, but looking back, she revealed that she felt awkward and uncomfortable. "Now, obviously, we know what and who he really was, it literally makes my blood run cold. But it also makes my blood boil, because I wish I'd known what he was then and I really wish that he'd known that we'd all know who he was, before he died.”

“I just think what he said to me was really creepy. It's just really creepy and I feel pretty disgusted that I've even been in his presence, that he's kissed my hand and said them vile things to me. It makes me really angry for the victims," she added. oh iChantelle finished off her statement by wishing that the "f*****g paedo pervert rots in hell with those poor worms eating his eyes."
