Hugh Jackman celebrates first birthday since divorce and reunites with ex-wife
Hugh Jackman and his estranged wife Deborra-Lee Furness enjoyed a night out together despite their split to celebrate his 55th birthday,
The former couple stepped out to Ralph Lauren's New York eatery The Polo Bar on Thursday as they joined friends for an evening of celebrations to mark the Wolverine actor's big day. Hugh and Deborra-Lee announced their split after 27 years of marriage last month, sounding as though they planned to remain amicable over their break-up.
Following the outing, Hugh shared a picture of himself holding up a drink to the camera as he enjoyed his revelry. He captioned the image: "Thank you ALL for the birthday love!!! I’m reading your messages, seeing the special videos and experiencing all the feels."

Hugh was excited for his night out (thehughjackman/Instagram)He also shared a picture of his dessert featuring two shortbread cookies, a scoop of ice cream and his name written out using chocolate syrup. Earlier that day Hugh headed out in New York City with his god friend Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively.
Sources told Page Six that Hugh and Deborra-Lee enjoyed a "very happy" evening stating it was a: "Very happy time [had] by all. Think it was good birthday," with Hugh's rep then confirming: "Yes, it's true. It was a lovely evening."
Hugh has been inundated with date requests from lovestruck fans after his shock marriage split from Deborra-Lee. They said in a joint statement last month: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.

Hugh and Deborra-Lee share two children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, and while no reason was given for their surprise split, the news has propelled The Greatest Showman star onto the list of Hollywood’s most wanted hunks, as fans desperately try to land a date with the Aussie star. “Are we all commenting now because we know this fine man is technically available now? I know I am! I'm convinced that sliding into dms does actually work,” one joked.
“I'll let you take me on a date now, Hugh,' another commented on Instagram. “You are the most eligible, hottest bachelor in the world,” one told him. “I'm single too!” another pleaded. Since news of his divorce broke, Hugh has been spotted enjoying a series of high-profile outings, including attending a Kansas City Chiefs football game in New York City, alongside close pals Ryan, Blake and Taylor Swift.
