Fans have criticised a paparazzo who "yelled" Dianna Agron out of the way in favour of photographing Sarah Jessica Parker at a New York City Ballet event earlier this week.

A host of celebrities were in attendance at a gala that was held by the ballet company in New York to mark its 75th anniversary. It's understood to have included performances at the David H. Koch Theater, within the Lincoln Center.

Among the guests were actors Sarah, 58 - who was listed among the gala chairs for the event - and Dianna, 37. The pair were both seen outside the venue in footage that has been shared on social media following the gala on Thursday.

A video shared on TikTok showed Dianna - who is best known for having played Quinn Fabray on Fox's Glee - interacting with fellow guest Paul Arnhold. Sarah is seen in the background talking to fashion designer Wes Gordon.

Someone, believed to be a photographer, and seemingly addressing Dianna and Paul, says: "You're blocking an important photo. A very important photo right behind you please." Other people are heard saying "excuse us".

A person then appears to sarcastically say: "You're not in the way. You're not in the way at all." Dianna, Paul and fellow guest Jeremy O. Harris subsequently move away. Sarah is then more visible as photographers proceed to take photos.

In the background, people appear to discuss the exchange, with someone seemingly heard saying: "Diane who?" One person is heard identifying Dianna as "the girl from Glee," amid someone else saying: "I don't know who she is."

The footage was shared by a photojournalist, who wrote: "[Dianna] looked stunning at the NYC Ballet Gala, unfortunately SJP was right behind her." They later issued a follow-up, showing Dianna getting photographed, and wrote: "Finally [she] got her spotlight."

The initial video was met with frustration from some fans who weren't impressed by the treatment of Dianna. One person reacted: "You don't speak to someone like that." Another said: "They shouldn't be yelling in such a rude away."

A third person wrote: "There's no need to be so rude." Another person wrote in the comments section: "The man yelling in this video has awoken a new level of rage in me." Whilst someone else reacted: "They were so rude, like wtf."

Another person responded to the footage by writing: "I'm sorry but the way they yelled at Dianna Agron was NOT okay & they can’t even get her name right?" Someone else said that the "yelling" had left them feeling "sick to [their] stomach."

Others teased that they wouldn't have moved out of the way. One person wrote: "I would've stayed there all night." Another commented: "The way I would have stood there for eternity." A third said: "I would have lived in that spot."

Not everyone was unimpressed though, with some people suggesting the photographers were simply doing their jobs. "They doing there jobs," wrote one person. Another said: "It's the difference between an A lister like SJP and a C lister. Not sure what the issue is." Someone else said: "Tbh its sounds like they're looking for a photo they're *assign* to take."
