It would appear And Just Like That's Carrie and Aidan are well and truly back on after new pictures show the pair snogging – sending Sex And The City fans into a frenzy.

Season two snaps show Sarah Jessica Parker and John Corbett's characters packing on the PDA following a well-known on-and-off relationship.

The journalist has seemingly got over the loss of her former flame Mr Big, played by Chris Noth, who died from a heart attack while on a Peloton bike in season one.

On-set photographs captured the moment Aidan and Carrie embraced right outside her iconic brownstone apartment in New York City.

Aidan was last seen in the 2010 spin-off movie Sex and the City 2, in which he took Carrie on a dinner date and kissed her, despite her being married to her now-late husband Mr. Big.

When season one of the Sex And The City sequel was in production last year, John joked that he would be making an appearance in the reboot.

However, fans were disappointed that the actor never appeared in any of the episodes.

But Sarah thought the joke was funny "It was fun. It was fun for him to say that," the actress explained on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

She added: "When he actually reached out, very kindly, because he's nothing if not a gentleman, and apologized for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, 'No, no, no, it's a free country first of all."

John previously spoke about what he thinks his character would be like now after all these years in an interview with Glamour.

"I feel like Aidan is one of those guys that five years or 10 years from now, he’s probably going to be doing the same thing," he explained.

He added: "I think he would probably be wearing some of the same clothes, working on furniture, and driving an old truck."
