A pregnant influencer has shown the reality of pregnancy after being told by pals she would have the "best boobs of her life".

Danae Mercer, 36, shared online how her body has changed since she became pregnant.

The soon-to-be-mum, from the US, has also shared how she's been learning to embrace her new body.

She says her friends told her she would have the "best boobs of her life" after falling pregnant, but her bust has changed in a way she hadn't expected.

Danae shared an image on Instagram showing how her breasts appear to sag to show fellow women it's perfectly normal – and should be embraced.

Danae's caption read: "Everyone told me to prepare for pregnancy tatas – that they’d be ‘the best tatas you’ll have in your life’.

"Only mine? They’ve gotten bigger. But they’ve also sort of… drooped. A bit. With the weight of it all.

"And the thing is, I could hide this on social media.

"I could wear super supportive bras for five minutes to take a pic, then switch back into my comfy loose jumper.

"I could show up with ‘gals’ that are ready for the ‘gram.

"But I don’t want to. Because I think so many of us feel insecure about so many different things.

"ESPECIALLY when change is involved.

"We become bigger or smaller or droop or wrinkle, and we worry that we are WRONG.

"Only we aren’t. We are simply humans existing in human bodies as they do human things.

"And all we have to do is treat our wonderful real selves with kindness.

"Even as we fluctuate, Even WHEN we fluctuate. Which is exactly how I’m approaching these, my new tatas, my new body.

"And it’s exactly what I hope for you too. Today and every day."

Danae's body-positive post earned more than 120,000 likes – and many praised the honesty.

One commenter said: "Thank you for being so real about this."

Another wrote: "Behind every 'perfect' photo of someone's body are a million outtakes of them looking like a regular person."

A third remarked: "Thank you so much for these pics. Thank you for showing that we are humans."

And a fourth added: "It's so refreshing every time I see a post from you. Wishing you the best of luck with the baby."
