Many of us walk into the hairdressers with a hope that when we step back outside again we will resemble one of our favourite celebrities or on-screen characters. But that's often far from the case, regardless of how many magazine scraps or Instagram snaps you show your stylist.

Bella Celeste learnt this the hard way when her request for a cut and colour resembling that of Rachel from Friends went very, very wrong.

She had hoped for Jennifer Aniston 's 'simple natural dirty blonde' look, but the final outcome was far from her original request. And to rub salt into the wound, the transformation cost her a whopping $330 transformation, which is about £270.

Bella - who posts under TikTok account @bananaiceoneestick - shared a photo of 'what [she] wanted' versus what she actually received.

The clip, which has surpassed 93,000 views to date, was captioned: "I paid $330 btw," the TikToker wrote beside two crying emojis.

Sharing a photo of Jennifer's character Rachel donning her usual blonde locks, Bella claimed that it was the perfect style that she was seeking.

She wrote: "This is what I wanted, just a simple natural dirty blonde."

Sharing an image of her new look, Bella appeared to have a series of blonde highlights which were evident over her natural brunette head of hair rather than the 'natural blonde' she was anticipating.

"This is what I got....????" She added alongside the photo.

Flocking to the comment section, TikTok users didn't hold back their shocked responses.

One person admitted: "I was so shocked I dropped my phone on my face."

Another said: "The hairdresser did u dirty." Meanwhile, a third person penned: "I said, oh that's rough."

On the other hand, other people assured Bella that her new hairstyle isn't as bad as she thinks.

They said: "It's not what you asked for, but it actually looks really good."
