What time is Canelo Alvarez fight? UK start time for Jermell Charlo bout

Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo will finally clash tonight in Las Vegas after months of build-up for their highly-anticipated champion vs champion clash at the T-Mobile Arena.

The Mexican superstar is one of the sport's pound-for-pound greats, winning world titles at multiple different weights before unifying the super-middleweight division. And now he looks to make even more history as he faces another undisputed champion in Charlo, who holds all of the super-welterweight gold and jumps up two weights for the fight.

Alvarez is a big favourite given the weight difference, but Charlo is actually the taller man and could have a few physical advantages if the adjustment to the 168lb limit doesn't hinder him. The bout will be a massive pay-per-view event in America, but unlike previous fights for the Mexican it will be available in the UK as part of a DAZN subscription.

Here's all you need to know about tonight's fight...

What time does Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo start?

The first fight of the undercard is expected to get underway around 2am on Sunday morning/Saturday night. There are ten fights taking place before Canelo vs Charlo, although not all of them will be shown on DAZN, so ring walks for the big main event will likely take place around 4am with the first bell sounding shortly after that. All timings are subject to change depending on how the undercard fights play out.

Alvarez: “I feel great and ready for this fight. Jermell is right, I have nothing to prove. But this time,I have something to prove to him. He never believed in my skills. He’s been calling me out. Now I have the opportunity to show him my skills. And that motivates me. I had agreat camp and I’m ready to show everybody my new skills. I always train 100 percent and motivate myself, but it’s even more for this fight. He’s called me out for a long time and I’m going to show him what I can do in just a couple days.

Charlo: “We finally made it to this moment. Training camp was really hard and I had to reallyfocus. Canelo is the kind of fighter you can’t take for granted. He’s done everything in this sport of boxing and he’s got nothing to prove. I have so much on my plate and in order to continue my legacy, I have to be equipped with every tool. I know that the fans are going to win on Saturday night. You’re going to see us back again for a rematch, because this is my moment."
