Wife of Brit who filmed himself raping and torturing dogs 'flees Australia'

The wife of depraved British dog abuser Adam Britton has broken up with him and fled the country after he pleaded guilty, it has been reported.

Erin Britton got rid of husband's surname and is believed to have gone on a six-month safari where there is low risk that anyone will be aware of her husband's horror crimes, the MailOnline claims. Amy Moore, a hotel worker in the small town of Humpty Doo, just a few miles from the Britton couple's property, said she felt sorry for Erin. Ms Moore does not think Erin had any idea of her husband's sadistic secret life. She told the Mail: "The word around these parts is that when Erin learned what her husband had got up to she fled - just packed up and left. She's gone far away, going on a safari somewhere, but how she's ever going to get over this can't be imagined."

Adam Britton admitted to 60 charges relating to animal abuse, bestiality and the possession of child exploitation material. He was said to have begun his "sadistic" rampage in 2014 and tortured and sexually exploited more than 39 dogs until his arrest in April 2022. He stood emotionless in the dock at the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory (NT) on Monday where he admitted the charges - and also pleaded guilty to four counts of accessing and transmitting child abuse material. Reports say he called the dogs 'f*** toys', filmed the abuse of the dogs on his property and then shared his perverse acts under pseudonyms online.

A tradesman who did some work on the couple's exotic property told MailOnline: "Will she be back? That's very doubtful. She's ended the marriage and gone, although given the shocking behaviour of her husband she will be living in fear of being recognised wherever she ends up living."

The facts of the charges were so grim that NT Chief Justice Michael Grant urged the public gallery and media to leave the court before they were read out, according to reports. He said they "could only be described as grotesque cruelty" and could cause "nervous shock."

The Britton's filmed themselves during a Covid lockdown in 2020, feeding a freshwater crocodile on their property and posted the footage to Facebook. In the clip, Britton said: 'Hello everyone, Adam here. Well, we're at home at the moment and we've got to feed the crocodiles. So what I'm going to do is, I'm going to hand this camera to Erin - say 'hi', Erin." Erin smiled while her husband filmed her feeding chicken legs to the croc.
