If you've ever dreamed of yelling "Get out of ma swamp!" to trespassers, Airbnb has just the place for you.

For a limited time, Donkey will be opening up Shrek's swamp to visitors who want to get away for some of the solitude much enjoyed by the grumpy ogre and a fairytale stay. Those hoping to stay in the "stumpy, secluded haven" will have to act fast though.

There will be just one booking available, a two-night stay for up to three people between October 27 and October 29. So if you're wanting to stay in Shrek's Scottish Highland swamp, near Newtonmore, you'll have to be ready to book as soon as booking opens on October 13 at 6pm BST.

Donkey said in the listing: "Shrek's Swamp is a stumpy, secluded haven fit for a solitude-seeking ogre... and for the first time ever, a handful of his biggest fans, thanks to yours truly. I'm swamp-sitting while Shrek's away this Halloween and I'm absolutely delighted to invite you in for a fairytale stay. Oh, and never mind the 'BEWARE' signs. They're probably for decoration."

The lucky guests who get to stay in Shrek's beloved swamp will be able to relax in the "ambience of earwax candlelight", to kick their feet up with a parfait, as Donkey says "Everybody likes a parfait!" They can also swap stories around the fire until late at night, and enjoy a stack of freshly made waffles in the morning - though no comment on whether Donkey will be making them himself or not...

A description of the space reads: "Nestled deep within the forests of the Scottish Highlands and accented with the cosy comforts Shrek has accumulated over the years, the swamp offers a retreat like no other. This mud-laden, moss-covered, murky-watered oasis is a perfectly snug spot to escape from village life and embrace the beauty of nature."

The area is said to be "far, far away from, well, anything" with "a secluded beauty you won't find anywhere but Scotland". The swamp, and surrounding forest, offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, whether it's exploring the trails, enjoying a picnic in one of numerous picturesque spots, or enjoying the unobstructed skies and remote location for stargazing.

Once the lucky guests check-in, an on-site concierge will "ensure a comfortable stay for you and your pals". They'll show you around the area and even arrange your meals.

It's worth noting that toilet, sink and shower facilities, including Shrek's infamous outhouse, will be located outside of the swampy home. But there are some rules as to who will be available to book a stay.

Guests must have an active Airbnb profile as well as a good track record on the platform, and everyone in the group must be at least five years of age or older. Prospective guests must also "enter a complete message when submitting the request to book, letting the Host know, among other things, who will be joining them."

Though it may seem it, the two-night stay is not a contest, therefore guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Scotland. The property is independently owned, and operated by Ardverikie Estate.

It's not known how much the two-night stay will cost yet, but the listing says: "To honour good childhood memories that last a lifetime, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to HopScotch Children's Charity, which provides some of Scotland's most vulnerable and disadvantaged children with respite breaks through nurturing and dynamic holiday trips."
