First look inside Legoland's new woodland lodges with themed playgrounds
Lego fans can immerse themselves in nature at the end of a long day's fun at the brick company's Windsor resort.
Legoland has opened bookings for the woodland themed holiday village, which opens in May 2024. Nestled amongst the trees, the lodges sleep between two and seven people with a separate sleeping nest for little adventurers.
The cosy 'camping barrels' provide a unique space for campers to relax and recharge in the great outdoors. They are among the lodges set in a 10-acre site that features an enchanting nature trail, complete with Lego animals, new characters and resident rangers – Alex and Lena.
Visitors can explore the play areas, featured amongst the cluster of lodges, where you can climb up the spider’s web into the squirrel’s treehouse or cross the rope bridge into the eagle’s lookout.
The new Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar is filled with colourful characters and campfire inspired family food. There guests can listen to the crackling campfires and owls hooting. Prices start from £295 for a family of four, which includes breakfast and day entry tickets to the Windsor Resort.

The new accommodation is opening at Legoland Windsor (Legoland)Helen Bull, division director of Legoland, said: “The Legoland Woodland Village has been a long time coming and we’re incredibly excited to now be taking bookings ahead of the official opening in May 2024. This moment marks years of planning and unwavering dedication to providing a magical experience for all our guests.
"The Legoland Woodland Village is part of a significant transformation for the Legoland Windsor Resort and we look forward to welcoming families to this new way to stay next year."
The park features more than 55 rides and attractions, and visitors can also opt to stay over in the resort hotel or the castle hotel and dine in the Bricks Restaurant, Tournament Tavern or the Skyline Bar. It is open from 10am-6pm on peak days during the school holidays or 10am-5pm on off-peak days.
As fantastic as Legoland may be, a recent survey found that Blackpool Pleasure Beach is top of the pile when it comes to the best amusement parks in the UK.
The Lancashire amusement destination topped the list in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards, not to mention it took eighth place globally beating out the likes of Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Dollywood, Walt Disney studios, LEGOLAND California and Universal's Islands of Adventure to the spot.

Only 1% of the destinations listed on the review website get awarded 'Best of the Best' status, and fewer still break into the global top ten.
If you love fun than there are plenty of rides at the Pleasure Beach that will get your pulse racing, including the Big One, a huge steel coaster that was the tallest and fastest in the world when it was built in 1994.
Nearby is ICON, the UK’s first and only double-launch rollercoaster which has specially adapted rear seats so that riders can spin and twist freely during the ride’s duration. Another classic ride is the Grand National, which is Europe’s only twin-track racing coaster that pits thrill-seekers against one another down a Mobius loop and double-dip drop.
Earlier this year the highly-anticipated reimagining of the Valhalla ride was launched, with the new ride throwing thrill-seekers around during more than four minutes of high-speed action, seeing them surrounded by fire, water, snow and thunder and lightning.

Riders make the half mile journey on a Viking longboat into a parallel world to reach Valhalla, experiencing plunging temperatures of -20°C and highs of more than 43°C. The ride includes a reservoir holding over one and a half million gallons of water – enough to fill more than two Olympic sized swimming pools.
If you aren't so keen on being thrown around and reaching terrifyingly high speeds, there are also plenty of less intense rides at the Pleasure Beach. These include the Wallace and Gromit ride, Alice in Wonderland, the Ghost Train and the swirling, spinning Flying Machines.
