Jonnie Irwin reunites with Channel 4 co-star during rare public appearance

A Place in the Sun star Jonnie Irwin has delighted fans with a rare public appearance as he posted a photo with former co-host Jasmine Harman.

The property expert was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2020 and has been sharing regular updates with his followers. Jonnie, 49, has recently said he feels weaker amid his treatments, so fans were overjoyed to see him out and about with his old pal at a recent public event.

He posted a photo on Instagram of the two stood side by side. Jasmine wore a floral blue dress that complimented her tan, while Jonnie wore a shirt and jeans. They stood, beaming, in front of a large sign for A Place in the Sun Live, which took place at Birmingham's NEC from September 22nd to 24th.

He captioned the photo: "Reunited with this beaut for the day. Great show and so nice to meet all the viewers looking to make their dreams come true. Pop over today and see @laurahamiltontv with loads of seminars and great information." Fans were thrilled with the photo and rushed to the comments to let Johnnie know.

One follower was made up to see the pair together, writing: "She's lovely and so nice to see you guys together the two best presenters of the show hands down." Another complimented him: "Johnnie you're looking really well," while a third added: "You're looking fantastic, Jonnie. Would love to pop over and visit, only 24 hours away in Australia."

Someone else wrote: "Aaaw 2 of my faves on APITS - you inspired out last holiday to Manilva. You look amazing Jonnie and are an inspiration," with another heaping praise on Johnnie: "All this considered mate you are looking really good... nothing but admiration and respect for ya Jonnie."

Johnnie and wife Jessica, 40, have three children together - four-year-old son Rex and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac. The dad-of-three, who revealed recently that he has not told his children about his illness, shared a photo of himself wearing an oxygen mask. Explaining to his followers that he's using the mask to help his symptoms, he shared his frustration over wait times for cancer scans.

Captioning the photo, he said: "The wait for more scans is frustrating when you know the cancer is on the move again. Meanwhile, there's stuff I can do to make the terrain as tough as possible for growth and the ladies down at @sereniti_health are part of my team of suppliers for various therapies.
