The Premier League currently boasts an abundance of attacking talent following an exciting summer transfer window.

A whole host of clubs spent big during the off-season and are ready to attack the season ahead. But how much are some of the top-flight's leading marksmen actually worth?

The Football Observatory has provided an overview of this. When ranking players' value, they take a wide range of factors into account: age, contract length, form and so on. And while the usual suspects do feature in the Premier League's top 10, the rankings also throw up a couple of surprises. Here, Mirror Football gives you the rundown...

10. Gabriel Jesus - Arsenal (€80million/£68.9m)

One of the most decorated forwards on the list, Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City last summer after winning four Premier League titles and three FA Cups at the Etihad.

Jesus is valued at £68.9million and is one of the oldest forwards on the list. The Brazil international missed the opening weeks of the season through injury but plundered 11 league goals and six assists for the Gunners last term.

9. Alexander Isak - Newcastle (€80million/£68.9m)

Isak was also on the move last summer, swapping Real Sociedad for Newcastle. The Swedish striker has already made a strong impression at St James' Park after scoring 10 goals last term.

The Magpies forward has been vying with Callum Wilson for a starting berth this term and bagged a double in the stunning 5-1 win over Aston Villa on the opening day.

8. Moussa Diaby - Aston Villa (€80million/£68.9m)

Diaby only arrived on these shores in the summer but the former Bayer Leverkusen ace is already ranked amongst the highest-value forwards in the league.

The France international, much like Isak and Jesus, is valued at £68.9m and has already found his shooting boots at Villa Park, where he's chalked up two goals and two assists in five games.

7. Antony - Man Utd (€80million/£68.9m)

Antony has struggled to live up to expectations since joining Manchester United in a deal worth a whopping £85m last summer, but the long-term contract the Brazil international signed, along with his age (23), means he still ranks highly. The forward enjoyed a prolific spell at Ajax before his move to Old Trafford but scored just four league goals last year.

6. Cody Gakpo - Liverpool (€80million/£68.9m)

Much like the other names on this list so far, Gakpo is a relatively new arrival to the Premier League and is valued at an identical amount as the four stars that have preceded him.

Gakpo was heavily tipped to join Erik ten Hag at Manchester United before Liverpool swooped in back in January. The Dutch international has filled a variety of attacking roles for the Reds and opened his account for the season in Saturday's 3-1 win over Wolves.

5. Darwin Nunez - Liverpool (€100million/£86.2m)

Nunez joins his Liverpool colleague Gakpo on the list but there is no place for Reds talisman Mohamed Salah, whose age (31) and contract status (less than two years on his current deal) count against him.

Although Nunez hasn't fully set Anfield alight since his £85m move from Benfica, the Uruguay international has shown flashes of brilliance. His quickfire brace in the closing stages at Newcastle earlier this month helped Liverpool clinch victory from the jaws of defeat and he is fancied to beat last year's tally of nine league goals.

4. Marcus Rashford - Man Utd (€100million/£86.2m)

Rashford may be slightly older (25) than some other names featured, but the new contract he recently signed catapults him into the upper echelons of the list.

The Manchester United academy graduate is also coming off the back of an electrifying 2022/23 campaign, where he plundered 17 goals and five assists in the Premier League.

It's been a pretty chastening start to the new season for United, but Rashford has already opened his account and will be eager to continue his fine form ahead of next summer's European Championships.

3. Julian Alvarez - Man City (€100million/£86.2m)

Another forward regularly hogs the limelight at the Etihad, but Alvarez has come into his own this season and established himself as a first-team regular.

Aged just 23 and already a World Cup winner, Alvarez features prominently on the list partly due to the long-term contract he penned with the Premier League champions following his transfer from River Plate

Alvarez managed 17 goals last season in a fruitful maiden campaign and has already racked up two goals and three assists in the league this year.

2. Gabriel Martinelli - Arsenal (€150million/£129.3m)

After committing his future to Arsenal with a new long-term contract earlier this year, Martinelli is valued in excess of £129m by the list. The Brazil international has established himself as a vital cog in a team which has flourished under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, who came within a whisker of overhauling Manchester City at the summit last year.

Martinelli notched 15 league goals last term but is yet to get off the mark this season. He also seems to be set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Sunday's win over Everton.

1. Erling Haaland - Man City (€250million/£215.5m)

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Haaland reigns supreme at the top of the charts. In the wake of his record-breaking maiden year in the Premier League, Haaland is valued in excess of £215m and in a league of his own compared to his peers.

The Norway international shattered all kinds of records last season as he fired Manchester City to a historic treble with 52 goals in 53 games. Haaland has started this season in a similar vein with seven Premier League goals already. It's hard to see anyone knocking Haaland off his perch anytime soon given his imperious form is seemingly never-ending...
