Reigning Strictly Come Dancing champ Hamza Yassin gave fans a surprise performance on Saturday night as he made an emotional return to the floor, performing his showstopping salsa routine.

The 33-year-old broke down in tears after reminiscing about his journey to lifting the Glitterball trophy, which he won with partner Jowita Przystal last year. After the judges praised his fiery routine Hamza praised his time on the show. As he said: "'Strictly has just been, why am I crying? Strictly has been, one of the best things I have ever done."

After making another show-stopping appearance many fans said they wanted to see the cameraman and presenter win the show for a second time running.

Minutes after he emerged on the dancefloor one viewer said: "What if, hear me out, we gave Hamza the trophy again." The want to see him win once more was backed by another fan, who added: " 'Strictly forget the rest of the series, give Hamza the glitterball FANTASTIC". Another person wrote "Sooooo good Hamza and Jowita."

The current winner also shared some crucial advice for this year's Glitterball hopefuls, where he put it down to communicating with his partner. He said: "Ice baths, lots of food, rest and listen to your partner."

Jowita then added for the new line-up of celebs to 'enjoy every time' as she shared: "You never know what could happen, so just let it go." Judge Shirley Ballas was also quick to reflect on Hamza's performance on the show, where he scoured all 10s in just week four of last year's contest.

"That's unheard of..... I only hope that all the cast is really paying attention", said Shirley as she gave a few tips to the new contestants.

Fellow TV presenters Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott and newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy join this years show along with former Family Fortunes presenter Les Dennis and Eastenders actor Bobby Brazier.

Nigel Harman, Nikita Kanda, Ellie Leach, Angela Rippon, Amanda Abbington and Jody Cundy complete to full list of celebrity stars to join the show.
