Meghan Markle looked effortlessly glamorous as she stepped out in a striking green dress for the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games.

The Duchess Of Sussex joined her husband Prince Harry as they sat among the crowds to take in the closing ceremony of the sporting competition. Meghan, 42, was seen smiling uncontrollably as she applauded Team USA when they walked on stage to the tune of Born In The USA by Bruce Springsteen.

Meghan was seen clapping along to the song in the German Merkur Spiel-Arena glowing in her outfit as passers by admired her fashionable look. The actress wore a strapless green Raylene laser cut midi dress with floral patterns worth £830 from Cult Gaia. She teamed her outfit with a pair of nude-toned leather court shoes costing £525 from Aquazzura.

Meghan completed her outfit with £595 Kimai lab grown diamond earrings, a £5,000 Cartier bracelet and a £50,000 Lorraine Schwartz emerald cut diamond pinky ring. The look was the latest in a week of strong style choices from Meghan, with her even drawing comparisons to mother-in-law Princess Diana with one of her outfit choices.

Harry joined his wife in applauding contenders from the event before taking to the stage himself to thank everyone for being there. He was seated beside the German President's wife Elke Budenbender and was seen leaning over to speak to the President himself, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, during the ceremony.

British Eurovision Song Contest star Sam Ryder took to the stage on the night to perform two songs prior to the closing speeches where it was revealed 140,000 people had attended the games. Rita Ora also performed at the event. Earlier in the day Meghan had presented American athlete Danielle Pothoof with her gold medal for swimming.

Danielle - who served as a staff sergeant in the US Marine Corps - competed in both volleyball and swimming at the games. The heroic veteran needed her leg amputated after being severely injured when her unit drove over an IED during a tour of service in Afghanistan in 2011.

Yesterday Harry celebrated his 39th birthday and was given a special treat by crowds at the games. The audience sang him a special rendition of Happy Birthday in both German and English to mark his big day.

The Duke Of Sussex was seen clapping along and smiling before he mouth thank you to spectators. He was then given a birthday cake by the Mayor Of Dusseldorf Dr Stephen Keller. The cake was adorned with the words 'Happy Birthday Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex,' and made in the colours of the Invictus Games.
