Jack Fincham is said to have pulled out of appearing on Love Island The Games following his arrest for careless driving.

The reality TV star, 31, won the popular ITV dating show back in 2018 with ex girlfriend Dani Dyer. While no official lineup for the spin off show has been announced, it has now been claimed Jack will no longer be taking part. The show will see former Love Island stars from the UK, US and Australian versions head to Fiji looking for a second chance at finding love.

It comes after Jack was stopped by police on the A2 near his home in Swanley, Kent on 26 August. Jack was given a blood test and held on suspicion of careless driving, and driving without insurance, but he has denied taking drugs in a statement from his solicitor, who fired back at the claims.

“Mr Fincham has not been charged with drug driving and denies any drug consumption whatsoever,” his solicitor Conor Johnstone, of M.A.J Law, told The Sun. “There is no evidence at this stage that Mr Fincham drove whilst over the legal limit and we are hopeful that his blood results will prove the same.” A spokesperson from Kent Police told The Mirror: "On Saturday 26 August 2023, officers arrested a 31-year-old man from Swanley on suspicion of drug driving, careless driving, driving without insurance and driving while displaying false number plates, on the A2 near Dartford. He has since been bailed until 26 November 2023."

It was believed the arrest could scupper Jack's plans to appear on Love Island The Games, but a TV insider says he has other plans anyway. They told The Sun: "He decided Ex On The Beach was a better fit for him - he’d prefer to do that show so he flew out yesterday."

The Love Island spin off is set to start this month, and fans reckon they've rumbled who will be packing their bags to head to Fiji. Series eight star Luca Bish is said to be a potential contestant, less than one year after he split with Gemma Owen following a three month romance. Series eight winner Davide Sanclimenti has also been linked with a ITV2 return. This year's favourite Scott van-der-Sluis is also in America, and has got tongues wagging.

Sharing their theories online, one fan wrote: "I presume Davide Luca and Scott are all going on #loveisland the games. But which women are going?" Another added: "As another added: "My thoughts too! No idea of the girls yet." "Scott is deffo going on Love island games lol," speculated a fourth. While someone else agreed, writing: "Scott doesn’t have a manager yet. Said he will go back to football when everything settles down. He is definitely doing the #loveisland games. I bet Davide is too".

Maura Higgins has been in Fiji, but it seems like it's only to work on the social channels and behind the scenes content for the US version of the show. The Irish beauty wowed fans as she posed in a see-through dress as she looked to be having a great time preparing for the programme. Season two and 10 star Kady McDermott won't be appearing as she revealed she turned down the opportunity to appear on the spin-off show. Speaking to Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks on their Staying Relevant podcast, the 27-year-old said: "I got asked to do Love Island The Games in September – I’ve had enough, I’m retired for the year. I’ll leave that one."

The Mirror has contacted Jack's representative for comment.
