Gordon Ramsay revealed his wife Tana wants to have another child, but he is reluctant due to his age.

The chef, 56, and Tana, 49, have five children including Megan, 25, Holly and Jack, 23, Matilda, 21, and four-year-old Oscar James. And now, Tana is hoping to add another child to their brood, with Gordon telling Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett on the Dish podcast: "I've got a little secret... Tana wants another one."

However, Gordon admitted he isn't too sure about having another child, joking to the hosts: "That's too many buses. That's like going to school or out to dinner in two buses. And second, I'm going to be the oldest f****r at school. 'Who's your grandad?' and what about sports day and the egg and spoon race?"

He added: "What am I going to do? I'd love another one but five is enough for now. It's a lot going on." Gordon even talked about his youngest son, Oscar, who is now at school. In true Gordon fashion, Oscar even complained about the food and has to bring his own lunches.

Gordon quipped: "He didn’t want to wear his blazer. He said, 'Dad, it’s too f***ing itchy.' And he said, 'The food’s s***'. I said, son, BYO. He said, 'What does that mean?' I said, 'bring your f***ing own.' So he’s got his own lunchbox, it’s all prepped, he’s got his finger sandwiches."

The Kitchen Nightmares star has a close bond with his children but has a few strict rules for them to adhere to. Speaking to the Telegraph in 2017, the celebrity chef revealed that his children have to make their own way in life. He said of his fortune: "It's definitely not going to them, and that's not in a mean way, it's to not spoil them.

"The only thing I've agreed with Tana is that they get a 25% deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat." He added that he's never really been "turned on about the money", and that has been reflected in the way he has raised his children. Gordon also revealed he doesn't hand out money to them.

Gordon once revealed: "Meg's at university and has a budget of £100 a week; the others get about £50 a week and they have to pay for their own phones and their bus fare. The earlier you give them that responsibility to save for their own trainers and jeans, the better."

He has said he doesn't want his children to grow up spoilt, and that involves not giving them anything without them having to work for it, which includes household chores and finding their own career path.
