Jake Paul sits on fence with views on KSI vs Tommy Fury fight winner

Jake Paul believes that the result of KSI and Tommy Fury's October grudge fight won't impact him either way, given that he has plans in both cases.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has had rivalries that date back years with both men, and wants to organise future bouts with either depending on how their showdown at the AO Arena in Manchester next month plays out. He has previously stated that he feels Fury will win by stoppage but recently took to Twitter to declare a more neutral stance on the bout.

Paul will be in attendance at the fight to support his brother Logan, who competes in the co-headliner against Dillon Danis in a heated grudge fight that has taken over the public consciousness in recent weeks. The pair have a bitter feud, which actually began with a rivalry between the MMA fighter and Jake years ago.

"I don’t care who wins," the younger Paul brother wrote on Twitter as the bout edged closer to its October 14 date. "Both outcomes are a win for my plans." He still has a contractual claim to a rematch with Fury, while his feud with KSI is one of the most intense in the history of influencer boxing.

Giving a prediction for KSI vs Fury at the end of July, Paul told Mirror Fighting: "I think Tommy knocks him out in like less than five rounds. I mean [KSI] is doing these gimmick WWE fights up until now. Tommy is his first real test, but who knows, he might throw an elbow on Tommy, too.”

KSI was infamously stripped of his latest win over Joe Fournier after the knockout blow he landed in the second round was later judged to be an elbow. The Professional Boxing Association, who sanctioned the bout, made the fight a 'no decision', which ended the YouTube star's winning run that dated back to the summer of 2018.

In a statement released after the fight, the governing body wrote: “Even though KSI was winning the fight, the blow with the forearm/elbow has been found to be accidental and the obvious disappointment that will follow, it has been decided that the contest is declared a No Decision in accordance with the rules.”
