Inbetweeners star dismisses reunion hopes as cast 'don't speak anymore'

The Inbetweeners star James Buckley has dismissed any hope of a reunion with his former castmates as he claims that they barely see each other anymore.

James, 36, who has launched a podcast with his wife Clair on the back of the success of their Youtube show At Home With The Buckleys, said that he finds it wierd how little they see of each other considering how much time they spent together while filming the hit TV show and two films.

Speaking about his relationship with his former castmates, Simon Bird, 39, who played Will, Blake Harrison, 38 who played Neil and and Joe Thomas, 39 who played Simon, James said that he would love to get them on his new podcast.

He told Heat magazine: "The thing is we don't see each other that often. It's crazy because we spent so much time together in the past, so when we do see each other now we just want to catch up. I don't know if people would enjoy listening to that, boring blokes just catching up."

James starred as Jay in the hit E4 show from 2008 and 2010, which was closely followed by two box office hit movies. But it looks as though James' days of playing the socially awkward Jay are over if his latest comment is anything to go by. When asked if a reunion is on the cards he added: "I don't think so there's no plans and we've never discussed it."

But James didn't rule out the possibility of starring in something else with the Inbetweeners cast. He continued: "But what I'd love is to get together with the boys and do something different. Maybe still with a whiff of the Inbetweeners, but we all make each other laugh and enjoy being around each other. So that would be great."

James and Clair have two children together, Harrison 11 and Jude, 10 but it looks as though James feels they are far too young to be watching him on screen. He told the publication: "When they're old enough they can watch it but I don't think they're that fussed." And Clair added: " I think they might find it a bit weird that it's their dad on there, doing whatever Jay does."

Speaking about the key to a perfect marriage, both James and Clair believe that a sense of humour is key. Clair said: "We've got the same sense of humour and have the same opinioons about most things. If you can genuinely have a laugh and are mates you'll be alright."

And James added: "We wind each other up but as long as you laugh about it and at yourself and at each other you'll be together forever. We also have the same views on parenting. Our main priority is to just make sure they're nice people. We really lucked out with our kids. "
