Brit tourist jumps into Elvis Presley's pool at Graceland and is kicked out
Video footage shared on social media has captured the shocking moment a British tourist ignored signs to jump into the swimming pool at Elvis Presley's Graceland estate.
The tourist, identified as Tommy Purcell, can be seen in a video on TikTok stepping over a gate on the property which has a sign saying: "RESTRICTED AREA: Do Not Enter". He's then seen confidently striding over to the pool, already shirtless just in his shorts and trainers.
He tentatively steps onto the diving board, at which point a security guard can be seen running toward him. He then steps forward before leaping off the board, arms in the air, landing in the turquoise pool.

The tourist was seen jumping into the pool at Elvis' Graceland estate (@nannyxmurphy17/TikTok)His wife, Nanny Murphy, posted a video of the incident to TikTok on July 5, and captioned it: "My husband jumped into the Elvis pool." She can be heard off screen in the video, giggling at her husband's antics as someone says: "You're not allowed in there! You're not allowed to do that!"
Tommy, on his way back from his escapade, asked: "You serious?" Before his wife argued: "Elvis didn't stop anyone!"

In a second video uploaded to TikTok, Tommy can be seen swimming back as a security guard climbs over the gate to head his way. The video then cuts to the Brit being escorted off the property, still shirtless, by a male security guard.
The security guard can be heard saying: "Make me famous, please, make me famous", in response to being videoed by Ms Murphy. But her husband's antics sparked intense criticism online.

She posted the video replying to a comment asking: "How is this funny? People are so disrespectful and I hope he got arrested."
In it, Ms Murphy said: "Well no, because it's not disrespectful jumping into a pool, and Elvis caught someone jumping in his pool once and he never stopped them. He never got them arrested, told them to stay in the pool.
"That's what a pool is meant for, to jump into. That's why we never got arrested because Elvis never stopped no one from jumping in a pool. So how is that disrespectful?

She went on to say: "It's not my fault you never got the nerve and never got the chance to jump in his pool. So I feel like you are jealous."
Her videos have been viewed millions of times, along with another TikTok captioned: "Yes I drove on Elvis driveway," which Ms Murphy filmed while her husband drove his pickup truck up the tree-lined driveway in front of the house. A security guard was seen heading toward the car before the video cut off.
Elvis' former home in Memphis, Tennessee was designated a National Historical Landmark in 2006. The cheapest tickets for tours began at just shy of $80 (£63.95) in 2023, with visitors able to purchase VIP tickets starting at $135 (£107.91).
