Laura Anderson gives birth and shares Gary Lucy request as she announces news
Laura Anderson has welcomed her first child, a bouncing baby girl, with on-off boyfriend Gary Lucy.
In the first post announcing the news, the new mum shared the first snap of her newborn baby with her on-off beau Gary Lucy with the tiny newborn who was wrapped in blankets and wore a sweet pink hat. Laura captioned the sweet snap as if her baby was writing it and revealed childbirth "hurts".
The now-deleted caption read: "Hi everyone, my name is Bonnie Rose Lucy Anderson. I was born 02/09/23 at 06.03am and weighed 6.10lbs My Mummy & Daddy are sooooo happy and in love with me, this is our first week together. I’m sorry it’s taken me some time to introduce myself, I hurt my mummy a little bit and scared my daddy too (oops) we’re all now recovering well at home."

Minutes on from deleting the original post, Laura returned to Instagram to share a video of baby Bonnie's birth and the first few days since her daughter arrived in the world. The caption remained the same as the original one.
The former Love Island star Laura, 34, and Hollyoaks actor Gary, 41, got together when they both took part in the 2022 series of Celebs Go Dating. After signing up to the show to date 'ordinary folk' the pair found they only had eyes for each other and soon hooked up and embarked on a romance.

Laura then announced she was pregnant in February this year, but shortly after the couple split and it became apparent that the two were not on the best terms. But Laura and Gary reportedly got back together days before their little one was born after being spotted on a break at a Scottish hotel.

The on-off couple leaving the hospital (Instagram/lauraanderson1x)It is the first child for Laura, who previously dated Another Level singer Dane Bowers, but the fifth for Gary, who already shares four children with ex-wife Natasha Gray, who he tied the knot with in 2014. They are parents to India, 18, Elvis, 12, Sadie, seven, and four-year-old Theodore.
Speaking out about why they previously split, Gary shared it was down to geography as Laura wanted him to move to her native Scotland so they could raise the baby together there. He explained: "Laura did want me to move, but I have my responsibilities here. I have four kids and all the things that go along with that so it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to uproot at this time."
The actor said he needs to remain in Essex where his children live after he and their mother divorced in 2018. "I wish I could break myself in half. I would if I could," the Hollyoaks star told The Sun. Gary also said that he loves Love Island star Laura "more than ever", and was looking forward to co-parenting their child together before news of their surprise reunion broke.
But the pair looked to have reconciled days before welcoming their little one. A source told The Sun: "He [Gary] flew up to Scotland to see Laura and they were spotted together at Glasgow airport. Then the next week, they went to Gleneagles, the luxury hotel, together." Fans reportedly spotted the pair at the hotel together and Laura confirmed she was there after tagging the £800-a-night country house hotel in an Instagram post as she shared a picture of herself in a fluffy dressing gown in the grounds.
In an interview with OK! magazine earlier this year before they got back together, Laura confessed: "Breaking up with the father of my child [Gary] was not planned. So that was something difficult to deal with, and it was unpredicted, but in a weird way, you just have to think that life doesn't always go to plan.”
Whether or not Gary was going to be at the birth was also a contentious topic, as Laura previously revealed the actor hadn't decided on what to do. She told the Mirror: “Gary is welcome at the birth. He’s currently in two minds so I’ve asked my mum as well, as you are allowed two birthing partners.”
“We have had times of it being civil and then it’s not. There are a lot of emotions going around for everyone, so it’s difficult. Being able to be civil from now until the birth and then after is the goal. For me, a lot has come to light since we parted ways, which has been quite upsetting, so I feel I had to do what was right for me and the baby and that’s it really.”
