Love Island star Maura Higgins has taken to social media to set the record straight about a fight she reportedly had with fellow Islander Faye Winter at the National Television Awards.
According to reports, the pair had to be separated during a furious backstage row at the TV awards show which was witnessed by a room full of guests. But Maura, 32, has now hit back at claims - with fellow former Love Island star Faye also denying any boozy fallout took place.
Maura, who wore a daring gown that showed off her enviable body, took to Instagram this afternoon and captioned a screenshot of a report on her alleged flight with Faye: "Borrrringgg!!!! Can't have a passionate conversation without people videoing and press trying to turn women against one another....ILY@faye_winter mo drama here love@thesun"

In the video Maura and Faye can be seen jabbing fingers at each other during the heated row as Maura was overheard shouting: "Don't you point your finger at me!" But desperate to show a united front, Faye, 28 also responded to the reports and commented on Maura's post. She simply wrote: "I mean she calls me a silly cow most days and she ain't wrong and I can confirm no designer shoes were disrespected in the conversation."
According to The Sun, a friend of the pair was forced to intervene as she too was overheard saying: "Girls, girls. Why are you fighting? This has been going on for an hour now. Stop it, stop it." The argument is said to have taken place at the bar in a backstage area of the awards show.

An onlooker told The Sun: "Maura looked furious with Faye - the pair were arguing quite loudly and in front of a loads of people. It was quite embarrassing and they were at it for ages." And another source told the publication: "'Maura and Faye looked a bit worse for wear and were rowing for most of the evening. They seemed to be really p***** off at each other."
The NTAs has seen its fair share of arguments over the years. Three years ago reality TV star Chris Hughes became involved in a fight with a photographer outside the venue. Chris, who was dating former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson at the time, realised the error of his ways and decided to post a message on his social media the following day.
In a heartfelt message he apologised and said: "I want to address last night's altercation. I was having an amazing night celebrating the award my girlfriend deservedly won. After coming out of our hotel a particular paparazzi decided to repeatedly call me a name I wouldn't call my worst enemy, and physically try and start an altercation. As everyone can see I retaliated back badly to this - which I regret."
He added: "I'm human. No different to anyone else's however I want to make everyone aware this was only in self defense. I hope people I care about including my followers, family and friends can understand and forgive me. This night was about Jesy's win and I am sorry if I distracted anyone from this. Ultimately, I'm the proudest boyfriend ever and want to congratulate my amazing girlfriend for a deserving win. I am proud of you.' Jesy walked away with an award for Best Factual Programme for her BBC Three documentary .
